Hey i only lived there for 6 months, i was born in Hampshire

Also also when I chatted to locals about my time there they were really keen to find out what my experience was like - had French waiters been rude or whatever. My take is they're consciously working on it.

Well its like theyve won on a legislative front, French is king there. They dont need to keep being d’cks about it or they lose sympathy

You go anywhere in Canada and you see the obvious effort to make sure French is included

I have to work a ton with Canadians (been on calls with people from Calgary, Vancouver & Toronto alone today and have an upcoming call with someone from Montreal). Mainly Toronto & Montreal tho.

Having to do so much stuff in two languages, hate it so much.

That's reasonable it'd be annoying for work. I've avoided anything like that for similar reasons. But I do think it lends itself to a more tolerant, inclusive society. Like a family we're all different but we get along

Also didn't get in the WC presale. Bunch of massivecunts anyway

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

the Argentinians might get visa free access to US before the WC, so they will be the only latin people there i guess

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

That's funny. I'm literally just reading how the US is revoking visas of people that made unkind comments about Charlie Kirk

Free speech eh

I flew into Chicago in May and the border staff were the nicest i've ever encountered as far as US goes, i guess only go to Blue cities

Not always true, JFK are the worst I’ve ever encountered.

Bwi is the easiest, they don’t give a fack. Philly good, IAD shocking.

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

Oh yeah JFK sucks

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

Florida (Orlando) decent

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

LAX is not amazing either for this, my first experience going through i was behind an old Chinese lady that was getting straight up verbally abused and i dont think she really understood much

posted 1 day, 17 hours ago

The Argentinian border guards are so chill

I dunno how Tbag feels but i felt sometimes that Vancouver people are closer to the US PNW culture than the rest of Canada. Which makes sense, its a lot easier to get to Bellingham than it is to go to Toronto
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not to be a pedant, but thats a bad example.

You can get more easily to LA or San Fran from Vancouver than Toronto - which is more worthy of noting.

Its the thing about Northern America, East Coast vs West Coast is so vastly different and genuinely tough to get to.

It takes me as much time to get to LA as it does to get back home to LDN.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding but isn't that what Blarms is saying? Vancouver is more similar to the PNW (which is like an hour or two flight from Vancouver) than the rest of Canada?
