Good start - the A47 is closed and Derby fans are advised to take ‘alternative routes’ through villages in the Norfolk that you will never be able to find again.

Sorry, Im busy, can't invite you in on this occasion.

Came to see if this was typed pre or post Paul Warne era.

So Cooper is getting a lot of shout outs, its an obvious link having done well on the other side of the A38. But would that strong bond with Forest stop him from joining us? (does he want to be our 'Cloughy' ?) Do we hold the funds to afford him. Does he want L1 football if we do go down?

Frenchman Ismael Valerinn is also being suggested which I think is a sensible shout. be less expensive - did a great job with Barnsley had them punching well above their capacity, but with a style similar to Paul Warne. Would that go down well with Scouse?

Our only appointment of a foreign manager Philip Cocu didn't go down too well (not that he was given a proper opportunity) so do we risk a second foreign appointment but one proven at this level?

Stevie G was favourite with the bookies last week ( vomit emoji) - which would depress most of us I think .

Strange timing. Perhaps the severance package was delaying matters but Ang has been proven right. He was hte first to suggest that perhaps the purse strings are tightened to use the funds for PW's sacking.

Thanks you pantomine 'gas out' baddie for getting the job of promotion last season completed. Now to survive in this division and see you again when you promote Rotherham for a fourth time.

Thanks for the nod, Desi. Can't actually remember that, but very insightful of me, if I did.

Derby County can confirm that First Team Coach Matt Hamshaw will lead the team in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture at Norwich City.

He will be supported by Under-21 Lead Coach Jake Buxton, Assistant Under-18 Coach Bradley Johnson and First Team Goalkeeper Coach Andy Warrington and the rest of the existing backroom staff.

I'm rather set in my ways and dislike change. This will all take some time and whisky.

Me too, but Norwegian gin (as I've not had dinner yet).

Coincidentally Mrs Heb just 'phoned from Stornoway. I said "oh, and Paul Warne has been sacked" She replied "is that Scouse's fault". Now how would she know?

Not guilty Your Honour.

Indeed and upheld. You have considerable influence of course, but I don't think for a moment that you go around casually sacking Championship managers.

I see that there has been a sort of an aside announcement that Barker was also sacked. Joined at the hip indeed Ang!

Leicester, in the cup v ManU, have a 15yo on the bench tonight. Might not get on, of course.
I wonder if our policy of introducing youngsters and giving them some game time will change a bit now ?

I still cant believe Clowes would sack Warne the day before a game....without having someone to replace him....unless of course...

Hmmm...i didnt see that. I wondered why Hammy was in charge. No doubt he'll be the next to go...

As has been said it was either stick or twist. Stick, we were probably going down but have a manager with at least a decent chance at being re-promoted. Twist and who knows.........I always worry about their mortgages and such, but exciting times non the less....
