That was the issue - he started wearing contact lenses, but couldn't get use to them, so stopped wearing them

Is he not wearing any contacts now? I'm struggling to buy the 'I can't see anything' guff when playing this well to be honest. Seems to be exaggerating the problem, at least in how it affects him on the table.

Yeah Judd's safety success was at 77% or something, pot success around 87%. Pretty low for his standards though Mark is putting it to him.

I don't want to go all technical (I know about eyes), but he's got what is known as presbyopia - so basically when you get older, your close-up vision gets poorer. (basically needing reading spex when you get older). But if he corrects his vision for that, it means he can't see far away, so it's trying to get a compromise that you are comfortable with.

Any type of surgery wouldn't necessarily solve the problem

Yeah, it can't affect him that much, because no way you could play that well if it was. But it must be having a bit of an effect
