This will go against the grain, but hope Zhao gets it done and dusted ASAP.
Finals are rarely high quality affairs, although both these players are missing more balls that expected, even allowing for the fact that it is a final.
I just feel with Zhao we have still to see a really stunning session - even in his win against Ronnie, Ronnie had loads of chances, if Zhao can cut those silly errors out, his scoring power could really make it one-way.
Williams will be hoping to make more of his chances, you just wonder after that great performance against Judd, can he produce that level again?

We could talk about the worst World Championships?
We've talked about the best ones enough
Don't remember 1991 very much apart from Parrott's opening session of the final
1994 apart from the final wasn't too good, Hendry eased to the final with a broken arm.
2006 was quite boring I thought. Not only the final but the whole event. Weird results throughout and then Ebdon and Dott in the final
2010 wasn't great either, nice to see Robbo win but for some reason he seemed to have quite an easy draw and then whenever he was going to face some big player in the next round, they lost.
2013 was quite a boring one, so many players went out early.
Didn't really enjoy 2017 much, felt the draw was very lop-sided.
Finally 2024 was pretty bad with Jak Jones getting to the final and Bingham getting to the semis
Probably loads more...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1991, Hendry losing to Steve James, Jimmy's chance.. But Parrott.. 😭 2006 agreed, same with 2010, and 2024, can't agree with 2013..Ronnie's 5th...
terrific opening red by Zhao
Zhao wins the frame and leads 12-6.
How can Mark miss pinks in the middle like that
yeah Zhao missing alot of pots in this frame
Williams wins the frame and trails 12-7.
12-7, Zhao missing shots, massive session this
Judd Trump vs Zhao Xintong would have been a great final. I'm hoping one day they may meet in a world final. I'd also like to see Judd Trump vs Mark Selby in a world final too.
wow absolutely amazing potting fro Zhao
58 break from Zhao and Williams needs 2 snookers to tie. That was a very good break.
Frame over and Zhao leads 13-7.
Some of those pots in that 58 break - the shot and pots of a champion......

Any 2 of Brecel, Zhao and Si would be a real tactical affair
As can be the way when you are ahead, Zhao got good run of the ball there, but got to take advantage of it. The question is will we get a final session.....
14-7
looking bad for Williams
Zhao wins the frame and leads 14-7.
Can Zhao get this done this afternoon?

1985 feature. Oh goodie.

Dennis buzzing 😂
Williams just looks spent. Beating Higgins and then Trump, nothing left to give. Zhao has had a relatively simple path, but you got to take advantage, and boy has he done that. There is room for improvement and lots to work on - he's been given a second chance, and boy is he grasping it.
