Just not seeing it with Ugarte so far. Agree that Mainoo, Yoro & Amad have the potential to become top players.

The Bruno hype is always loud when we are sheite.

I ask again, how many teams in the prem are willing to exchange their star midfielder for us now??

He is too small, too careless, too annoying to be who we mold players around. I watched Bruno Guimares yesterday and that's how you stand out in your team. IN a team of hard working, strong, pacy players he was their leader in every aspect, from defence to attack. He didn''t need to have the ball all the facking time while trying to make all the biggest passes to prove that.

We need to stop deifying these players. People are writing about how Ronaldo scored 2 goals last time he was here proved he was brilliant for us.

We have a squad full of squad players. We need to tip the balance towards more nailed on starters IMO.

Complete and utter nonsense.

Bruno G wouldn't look half the player he does in this struggling United side. Meanwhile Fernandes playing in their team would have likes of Isak, Gordon, Barnes and Murphy to link up with and create for. He'd get lots of assists in that team.

Your opinion on bruno is absolute madness especially considering how much you seem to rate Zirkzee with 3 PL goals, 1 assist and 12 shots on target all season.

Bruno has been a great signing for us. Sadly he's been let down by the other 90% of absolute crap we have brought in too.

Imagine Bruno for Liverpool in place of Szoboszlai? His numbers would be insane and Liverpool would be a much better team than they are now, too.

You said it yourself - in a team of hard working, strong pacy players - we have got none of that. Dare I say if Bruno was in a better team, he would stand out even more. Do you think Guimares would find it a walk in the park playing for us?

It's not about hype - look at where we are, how can we hype anyone? I am not saying Bruno is perfect, but I think you do him a dis-service, because you know how poor we are, and therefore to look good in our team is very difficult indeed.

It's not about deifying these players - it's recognising that in the whole squad, he's one of the few that can come out with any credit.

I think you would find that Bruno gets into most top squads and would start for many of them

Out of our last 16 major first team signings.....only 3 of them had already played in the PL:

Evens (free), Eriksen (free) Mason Mount (55m)

Signing 13 players from other leagues, many of which quite young, has been a disastrous transfer policy.

We have just signed so many mediocre players who would not be considered young, and generally overpaid for all our signings, regardless of age. If we were going to spend that much, why spend it on such drivel. Mount, Sancho and Antony are the top 3 examples for me.

This has left us in a position of needing to sign young talent, which can be a bit of a hit or miss and only time will tell, but not having the established players of a decent standard to bring them along.

Maybe we can't afford it, but we need to try and bring in some established decent quality players to help develop these youngsters, rather than throw them in at the deep end.

Otherwise it doesn't matter if it is Amorim, Xavi etc at the helm, it will take a long time to get to where we need to

The problem is we're not a one player solves the problem type team. I have seen others say, if we only bought Rice etc. Of course he would have helped, but more likely we would have been saying, why did we spend all that money on him. You could say the same of Guimares if he was with us.

The likes of Amad, Mainoo, Yoro, Ugarte have shown good signs, but no-one comes close to Bruno. Rashford for his 6 month spell, but garbage for most of the rest of it.

And from some all Bruno gets is criticism because he ain't superman. Honestly, where would we be without him.

I agree. We're like 6/7 players away just in our best 11. Then add in another 3-4 squad players.

Bruno G alone wouldn't solve a lot of our issues even though he's a terrific player.

Quite a few of the replacements we've recently signed already need replacing. You can never kick on as a football cluyb when you're getting 8 out of every 10 transfers badly wrong.

Its the overspending that has really hurt us. Whilst we are very bad, no-one has a perfect record in the transfer mkt and everyone gets the occasional dud, but the fact that we spent huge amounts was crazy.

The likes of Antony and Hojlund, if they don't work out, fair enough, but we shouldn't have been paying over 50 million for either. Same for Mount. Or Sancho. And it goes on. Sometimes you need to take a risk, but we just overspent on everyone which makes it so difficult in this day and age to recover from that

Both in the Newcastle team would look very good, don't know how good Bruno G would look in our team because it's not that simple to look good in our team and that's no reflection on Bruno G. Bruno F looks good despite of the team, not because of it, and not everyone can do that in that situation. That's why I feel Ugarte is doing as well as he can, because playing in our midfield is tough going

There are areas of his game that Rasmus needs to improve, but I believe that there is a good player in there. Whether it happens for him at United remains to be seen, but he is a good finisher if he gets chances. Which he doesn't get enough of at the moment.

Yeh, it is quite frightening and how much have spent on players that were relatively high risk transfers. The Onana signing looks to be the worst of the lot to me.
