Have you got a job as one of Man Cheaties accountants?

I think VP will use caution in this one. Keep it tight at the back and try and get something on counter attacks, using long ball tactics. Still wouldn't start Wolfe until he gets more minutes in his legs. Might even put Munetsi in, as he can run all day.

I don't like long ball tactics, but to try and play out from the back against City, plus no real threat yet from our newer players, could prove fatal. I'd be very surprised if it isn't a back to the wall job, which is why it may be wise to start Munetsi.

Agreed mate. According to some, we have three of the top twenty players in the division currently on our books? Don't see it myself, but predictions are meaningless to me at this time.

Have to say my reaction after the game last Saturday was to say ‘we’ll get hammered against City’. And there’s a distinct possibility that will happen, we just haven’t done enough in the transfer window yet. We lost three first team regulars in Cunha, Ait Nouri and Semedo. We haven’t replaced Cunha’s goals, Wolfe is getting thrown in at the deep end on the left and we look really vulnerable on the right. And whoever we start the game with we’re going to have a much weaker bench to call on as many of our senior cover players have gone.

I’d rather see Rodrigo than Hoever on the right. And it would be really bold if Vitor was to play all three of Lopez, Larsen and Arias against this opposition. Every chance he’ll squeeze in Bellegarde and Munetsi somewhere to the team to make us more solid, even if that makes us even less of a goal threat.

If we come out of the game with a narrow defeat it would be better than I fear.

Is Hoever a sweeper?

He could fill the vacuum on the right

What role though? Little point in him dashing around in his one man press, City would play through that barely noticing him. Wouldn't be averse to playing him as a third midfielder if we're going to go ultra deep and tight. Think we're fooked either way though to be honest

Thought for 85 minutes that Frank had properly turned Tottenham around, a completely different approach compared with the passive surrender we saw from them at molineux last year. Then it went very Spursy again

Didn’t see that spurs game. Watched Bolton v Sheffield Wed because I’d had a bet on it, and lost. Entertaining game though. Wednesday went ahead early. Then Bolton had a player sent off. Then Bolton equalised. Wednesday immediately went back in front. Bolton equalised. Wednesday went ahead. Bolton equalised for a third time in the last minute. Wednesday won on penalties.

so we are not exactly brimming with confidence for this one, crowd likely to be noisy at first at least after several hours pre match drinking time

Surprised to learn that the has predicted the winner of Bolton v Sheffield Wednesday?

I thought all predictions were meaningless until the transfer window closes! 😂

Seems that Hwang has turned down offers from a couple of clubs and will be staying with Wolves this season
