Newcastle are one of the top teams in Europe now so I'm not expecting anything more than a decent performance at home. A point would be fantastic but I'll not hold my breath.

not expecting anything from this game either result wise or performance as we look like a team from temu and as such i expect us to fall apart. i have serious concerns about our new keeper and not only his passing ability but speed of his reflexes and with bambi mark2 leading the line safest place to be if he shoots seems to be in the goal. so disappointed with at least half of our acquisitions and unless a miracle happens next couple of days regarding incomings then i see us back in championship and most likely in a worse position than we were last time with even more dross that we dont want and neither does anyone else. Biggest question for me is who will be first manager to get boot in PL and although i dont have him favourite yet farke is in the top 3. Only just started a new PL campaign and i can only see this season going one way thanks to poor recruitment by 49ers who have to take full responsibility for bargain basement signings and keeping a manager who seems capable of doing the business promotion wise but is clearly out of his depth in PL

Newcastle will be a tough gig for sure. They have been building and adding better players for a good few seasons now. Solid prem side who know what's required. If we get anything from this we are doing alright. A proper test. The battlefield will be no place for the half hearted.

Angus Kinnear starting to seem quite a competent individual regarding recruitment compared to the new recruitment regime we have now....but fingers crossed they can at least persuade one creative difference making game changer to join Leeds.

Saw the team they put out and it looked decent for the champ. Something must be going on at that club.
