Just read a really good point online.

We offered 30-35 mill for Muniz
We offered about same for Paixao

Where did that money go?

18 million on Okafor. 10 million on Justin.

Nice to see you giving new signings time to bed in.

I know Lowfields doesn't like Wilson,
but, WACCOE ITKs are saying he could
still sign. This Welsh bloke would be
happy at that at least. Still not enough
but it's better than road kill.

Okafor already has. A medical bed.

Just as a minor reset, while the Bots defend the club,

Farke said in his last presser he needed two more
attacking players in. Would love to know how many
beers he's thrown back today.

And more personal comments. Your break didn't do you any good, did it?

Doesn’t read good from Fulham: Ben Jacob’s:

‘Leeds United came really close to signing Harry Wilson on a permanent deal, but Fulham pulled the plug.

Understand Leeds met a quoted asking price over the weekend, but Fulham were focused on incomings delaying any movement. Leeds understanding of this.

By Deadline Day, Fulham wanted to renegotiate and Leeds made an improved offer today.

There was an initial agreement resulting in a proposed Deal Sheet. Leeds and Wilson signed, but Fulham communicated the transfer was off just minutes before the 19:00 deadline.

Leeds naturally disappointed, but did everything possible to try and sign Wilson. In the end, Fulham decided not to sell.❌’

Tie up a potential relegation rival’s negotiation team on transfer deadline day. Pull the plug when it’s too late to sign someone else. Wonder what Wilson thinks of that.

Think 80% of the window has been fine. I like Stach, Gudmundsson, Bijol and Longstaff (I know you dislike the last of those). Bornauw is solid, and unlikely to be used much. Justin I am unsure about, but largely the fee.

Obviously there are risks attached to Nmecha, Okafor, and DCL, but if any one of those works out then we have a better signing in them than anyone Sunderland have brought in. Always going to be risks attached to any signings made when in a position like ours.

Obviously we should have done more to force through attacking recruits, and perhaps I will be decrying that at the end of the season as much as Batty is now, but I resent being told to focus on negatives. Seen enough from Everton and Newcastle to think we have a chance, and I will focus on that, instead of unrelenting negativity.

Paggy is a right snake oil c@nty b@stard
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Knew there was something I liked about him.

Gave him the benefit of the doubt until the ‘Daniel’s my man’ pukefest when it was clear he had just failed trying to replace him… but spent hours explaining why now was the right time to publicly back him,

While I love this club, I find the running of it at (most) times to be utterly disgraceful. Broken promises. Lack of ambition. P-SS poor planning. Failure to execute. A laughing stock of ‘Leeds close signing x; moves to y instead’.

What is the point of working so hard to get promotion, only to not sign and secure the players that will give us half a chance of staying up. Despite the amazing support playing as our 12th man, there is zero way in this world we stay up with this squad. Zero. Unless, somehow, we stay in with a chance at the turn of the year and invest heavily in January. But even then, if we’re still in with a chance in Jan, the Board will probably think that means we don’t need anyone.

I feel sorry for the players. For Farke. For us fans. And angry as hell towards those responsible for this sh-t show of a transfer window.

No home game until 27/09. Fulham away up next (no you couldn’t make it up).

If we can go there and win and follow up with a win at Wolves then I’ll feel a lot happier. Even four points from those two will do me.

I think Bournemouth at home is winnable and Spurs are Spurs so anything is possible.

Onwards we go!

Night guys! Bed and book time!

I thought our early recruitment was ok… nothing more nothing less… I don’t think too many fans had seen too much of most of the signings to make an educated judgement. Last few weeks when it starts to hot up in the market we’ve gone missing. Inexperienced CEO hired inexperienced recruitment team and handcuffed them.

We’ll have to keep fingers crossed our key players stay injury free (which is management by hope considering part of our strategy was to get value by signing players with injury histories)… and we’re going to have to nil a lot of teams.

My anger is squarely aimed at the hierarchy.
But, mainly this recruitment team that has shown
themselves to be out of their depth. They got
played by Fulham. Given the runaround by other
clubs. And shown to be inept at best.

Stach and Gudmunson aside, dire.

Kebab, I like Nmecha. He's good.

If we were in the Champo still and landed him
I'd be ecstatic. In the Prem, he's a bench player.

posted on 1/9/25

Yeah agree. Gets us up the field
Not sure he’s going to be any more than that though

posted on 1/9/25

Cant really defend the club. Are there any freebies available that are any good? Mitrovic maybe?

posted on 1/9/25

Thought Nmecha was ok on Monday. Tried hard which is all you can ask…Up against top defenders. Difference was night and day though when DCL came on… Paddy on steroids. Need to keep him fit and not get too frustrated when he shins it into row z 3 times a game. .

Its funny the way people were saying we had no chance last January, and now most of the same are saying the same this!..

Odd the way people give these players no chance when they know very little about them as a team, would it not be better giving them a chance to find their feet, it could be a surprise that'll like last season put a lot in their places!..
