United signing him for £80m is the only embarrassing thing about this tale.

Wait until you read what Todd Boehly had to say about Sancho!

Ah, never mind. They're fake quotes although I'll still choose to believe them!

Antony would probably succeed in any league other than the PL.
While not good enough for us and nowhere near worth 80 mill, he was also not as bad as some made out imo.

Bayern seemed to have a mess of window. Couldn't get Wirtz or that lad who went to Newcastle, Garnacho also rejected them apparently and they ended up with Nicolas Jackson.
Luis Diaz was a good signing in fairness.

It may actually end up being better for us too though financially. We may well have taken £30m straight from Bayern but now we've had that £21m from Betis and 50% of any future transfer fee (I thought it was 50% of profit but according to the Athletic it's 50% of any fee) so if they sell him for £42m to break even then we'll get another £21m. Not bad at all.

Of all of the players that have left us this summer on loan or permanently, Antony will be the biggest success imo.

Aren't Bayern going to pay £70m for Jackson? They sound pretty desperate.

Not a difficult call considering he was successful in Spain last season
Garnacho is probably the one that comes back to bite us if he gets his attitude right

Hardly clutching at straws to think he may move on for a transfer fee in the next few years.

I doubt we'll get much from the 50% sell on fee. He's seems happy at Betis and if the Bayern reports are true sounds like he'd prefer to stay at a lower club and be the main man that another big club. Say he stays at Betis for 2-3 years and does well and there is interest where does he actually go at 28 for a decent fee?
I reckon he'll stay at Betis for a bit, maybe moves to another Spanish side and then back to Brazil never moving for much money. There won't ever be much insentive for Betis to sell him.
