I still believe in giving every player 2 seasons to show their worth. It's not looking good for Ugarte or De Ligt.
You can see there is a good player in Yoro so I can see him forcing a move away relatively soon for his own career. Will not hold any ill will against him if he does.
Shaw has had long enough now and it's time to start looking at replacements even though I do think he's a decent guy.
Still undecided on Maz.
Huge concerns around Dorgu, hasn't performed anywhere near good enough, but I'll stand by my thinking of 2 seasons to show.
Bayindir has he been with us 2 seasons? If he has then this is all he'll ever be for us.
I remain hopeful about Amad
Bruno... The enigma. I just don't know what to say. Clearly he's a quality player, but if the system and patterns of play are not working for him during any given match then he becomes a detriment

Up until his volley which Donnarumma done well to save I thought he was awful, improved a bit after that but nothing to shout about
Still think he’ll prove a good signing though

Me either. The concern was always his pretty modest strike rate and admittedly the very few times I'd seen him play prior to joining he looked exactly like he has so far for us. But he's young and will rightly get time.

Sesko’s problem is the same as Hojlund’s, they should be back up to a seasoned striker at a club like United

Yep, I do feel we should have went for Watkins this summer. I get that maybe it was our only chance of getting Sesko though.

Sesko played 180 minutes for Slovenia in the International break and managed one shot on target. So it’s not just United he’s goal shy with. I thought Mbeumo looked the part yesterday - premier league experience def helps.

Exactly. Just like with Hojlund you can't constantly keep blaming service. I've no doubt in my mind that Haaland would have scored a few goals so far this season if he played for United.

It would help Sesko if we did cross it in from time to time though!
I'm not as down on the system itself as some but perhaps getting back to basics in a 442 kind of formation would be better for now? Having said that this was City, one of the better teams in the PL, so let's see how we get on against the lower ranked teams. Amorim's hand not helped by three CL teams in first five games. Getting some early wins would have brought momentum and confidence.

To be fair is there a worst assignment for a player at the moment being a number nine for United, very much career suicide. Whoever advised him to go there should sacked really.

Mbeumo and Cunha have both looked quality even with the way we are, Amad has been totally useless, weak on the ball and about as much crossing sense as Dalot.
Never thought I would say we missed Mason Mount but we did on Sunday, him and Cunha would have made a big difference, we still would have fecked up at the back so not saying a win but we would have given it more of a go I think

After we got Mbuemo and Cunha in, many of us felt it was important to address the GK and CM positions.
It's early days with Sesko, but a lot of pressure on a young striker in a team which also has a lot of questions over it (sound familiar?)
The GK is such an important position and once again we have taken the risky decision of going with potential rather than proven - Martinez was the obvious choice, but even someone like Pickford would have probably worked.
But CM needed addressing, not simply a case of putting our best player in a position which doesn't suit him. I still can't understand both not addressing that but then continuing with playing Bruno there ion the current set-up.
Mainoo may not be the answer but he is better equipped to play there mentally. Given our issues, we need 3 in CM for that added protection, so tweak the system.
I still don't think the transfer window was terrible for us. But a level-headed manager would have thought, ok, short-term, midfield is an issue, so I need an extra player in there and sacrifice somewhere else for that.

Signing 2 number 10s and a striker was overkill really. Especially when Bruno has been pushed to CM as a result. We would have been better with a striker, 1 number 10, a CM, a GK and a better LWB.

I think not just addressing certain positions, but who we brought in also.
Mbuemo and Cunha clearly know what is required in the EPL. Perhaps we should have taken the same approach to both GK and CM, going for players who know the EPL. These 2 positions are so key, that if you go abroad, in our position, you want to go for the highest quality possible, and we appear to have gone for potential rather than proven quality.
Sesko and Lammens could work out, but they are risky, and if we were a current top 4 club we could cope with that risk better rather than striving to get back to where we once at.
