I have never been so excited about a defensive trio as much as I am about De Gea, Smalling, Vidic.

Clearly VDS, Ferdinand, Vidic is/was the best defensive unit we'v ever had (I think so anyway) and Fergie has gone and signed clones of these:

De Gea : Calm, composed, good with his feet just like VDS

Smalling : Anticipates, classy, technically very good defender - Rio

Jones : No nonesense, brave, leader yet suprisingly good with ball at feet - Vidic

De Gea, Smalling, JOnes sorry, not Vidic

According to wikipedia (no where near the most reliable source) he has got the number 2 shirt. Im thinking he will get the number 6 shirt though if wes brown goes what you think

Not saying we don't spend. Reminding United fans of criticising spending £16m on a yet player yet they throw £25m on a 19 year old.
