Andrei the wait for Drones is grating me and twisting me around
Drones might complete a hat-trick of pre-orders with The Great Pretenders and Dark Bird is Home
I am hoping Drones will be very good indeed
ngl those three albums > all of 2014's albums already

i chose. think BH&R is my stock answer for this sorta question, no reason to go otherwise.
I do love BH&R. Origin at its best (and this goes for several other albums) is better but BH&R just feels a more fulfilling all round album to me. Think because I can really enjoy it in full at any time any place.
Every single song other than Soldier's Poem for me is great in its own way. Weird that certain B-sides like Easily/Crying Shame didn't make the cut instead.
Yeah. Got Take a Bow and Knights which are just the perfect opener/closer combo either way round, then the BANGERS (Supermassive, Starlight, MOTP) and the under-appreciated, desert flamenco latter half (Exo-Politics, City of Delusion, Hoodoo). Fantastic.
Even Soldier's Poem is perfectly placed. A quiet, reflective breather after MOTP, warming up for Invincible. Can't remember where I read it but it's Soldier's Poem and Invincible are the two part centrepiece.
Assassin probably my least fave but I really like that as well. True that there were some great b-sides from that era. Glorious as well.
Just thinking of Citizen Erased. First half pummels your face in with an electrified sledgehammer and then the outro leaves you to peacefully drift away. To see that live back in the day (before what I consider their peak)

Glasto '04 innit. Or maybe earlier than that, specifically any time in 2002.
Zenith Paris the one I had in mind
