What terrible Friday song from YouTube ?

ZZ omits one important point. The main reason I have seen apparent 'atheists' and 'agnostics' becoming religious.

Losing a loved one is possibly hardest thing in the world. Believing they are waiting for you on an eternal plane is possibly the easiest solution to that.

By Rebecca Black, or whatever her name is. It's a song so bad that it's created a worldwide phenomenon, or something. I've never listened to it though, and Mr CGG keeps trying to trick me into doing so.

OK. Christmas trees ... trees ... gardening. Back on topic.

I like the smell of Christmas trees because it reminds me of presents and, erm, presents.

Wow, I'm really superficial.

you mean like losing my dad just before my 11th birthday?

doesn't mean i have to believe he's out there waiting for me. he's in the ground, about 40 miles from here... or what's left of him is.

I can fully understand why people are comforted to believe otherwise, but the afterlife or next life thories really don't hold any susbstance with me. More than that, they don't hold any appeal. Personally, I'd much rather believe that death is the end, and that there's nothing beyond that.

Each to their own though, as with all personal views, religion should be about the feelings of the individual and the individual shouldn't be judged on those feelings unless they have an adverse effect on the lives of others.

Too much jarage!!

Let's talk about shoes and kittens. Everybody loves shoes and kittens.

Ligthen up ZZ I was agreeing with you, just saying that's one of the main reasons religion exists.

I'm an atheist who lost a father as a child too!

Let's brighten the mood a bit shall we? What's everyone's favourite type of Christmas tree?

Mine is Blue Spruce! Love that smell
