I played left back for the first 10 minutes in the football aid match at the reebok dispite being very right footed, a goalkeeper, very short of match practice. Number of goals conceded = 0. (Though number of goals conceded when I later played midfield was 5.) I still maintain that my left back performance was the best seen at the reebok this year!!

and I have it on good authority that the tea lady is called Phylis now. (more on that breaking news next week folks)

When is ricketts due back? 

He was due back by now. In August he said he was "about a month behind Stu Holden". Maybe he knew something about Holden's injury we didn't know, because he's not even in light training yet.

Coyle must think someone above is playing tricks on him. Every time he thinks he's got shut of Steinsson, he ends up with no choice but to pick him again.

I've no left foot, (not literally), and have a tendency to bob forward a bit too often but I've kept a nippy skillfull winger quiet before (different match and I was right back but it's all the same). So I'm already 60% better than Robbo.

Thanks for including me Peter! Do you want me playing the Muamba breaking up play role or am I playing box to box. If I'm honest I'm better in a 4-5-1 position where I can pass the ball around a bit 😉
