With all due respect, I'm not sure you've fully understood why the comparison has been made?

Maybe not, i respect the way you worded the comment, maybe my grasp of English is not great...

i haev to go but the final statement

Baresi is Prada, Ferrari, Paris, Champagne
Jones is Umbro, Lada, Bognor Regis, Cherry Coke

This actually really made me laugh!!

Jones is more the unfinished article, but he has raw talent and seems like a decent guy. Maybe when he's a little older he'll see sense and join a real team...

Capello has made a silly comment, just like when Giggs was likened to Best that was daft.

Jone at 19 is a decent player, if he carries on he has the possiblity to be world class, but dear me he's only 19.

As Capello has much more experience than all of us on here and has worked with both I go with his judgement.

Jones is going to be a very good player, good enough to have his shirt retired by United.....only time will tell.

Nobodies shirt gets retied at United, that sort of crap is for Ice hockey or american rugby. If it were the case shirts got retired then Best, Law, and Chrlton would have had it years ago, If Jones is half as good as any of these three he will be world class

If we had retired the no.7 shirt after Dalglish finished we'd never have seen new icons come in to create new memories like Nigel Spackman, Vladimir Smicer and Robbie Keane
