"Apparently that was Sir Alex's biggest regret"
-----
I thought SAFs biggest regret was not getting Zidane when he had the chance?
Rock of Gibraltar was his biggest regret, in then heaping a half a billion pounds debt on the club
Chosing Tottenham over Manchester united was also Paul Gascoigne's biggest mistake
But Gazza stealing a London bus is much better than a northern tram
Good look Gazza, keep yourself on track
His record of 4 defeats in 57 games for England says it all
And kicking lampshades when not making the team
And never being charged with being a racist
And being man enough to admit it
Her black eyes were proof
Great footballer, however I thought he did not look as well as people think during that interview.
He has a lot of demons to deal with and I hope he beats them. Unfortunately something tells me that we will be reading about his antics again in a short while. I certainly hope I am wrong!
Gazza was the finest footballer of his generation, but for injuries he could have been the best ever.
He looked like someone who has `caned it` so to speak and the drugs and drink made him do some unforgivable things.
At least now (for the time being) he is sober and clean, lets hope he can beat his demons and recover fully.
I doubt his ex wife will be too affected by Gazza`s behaviour........ after all she is living a very comfortable life with most of Gazza`s money.
The stint on Frank Skinners' show was far better (obviously cos of Frank, both as a person and as a football fan - Piers Morgan = countryside !!! <StephenFry> ) .
You could see how choked up he was at having been dropped for France 98 (even 3-4 yrs after the event) .
Genius Greaves
I thought I was reading too much into it as nobody else mentioned it but I must agree, I thought he looked incredibly fragile, and dont think we've heard the last of this particular episode in his life

i'm sorry but everybody praising gazza he was nothing only a sucm bag beating up his wife gazza deserved all he got roaring alcahol i wish nothing but bad things on him
oh by the way he should have being sent off against us in the 91 cup final
but he had some talent what a waste of a football you couldn't put a price tag on him if he was playing today
i still say gazza is the best footballer except for marraddona in the last 25 years.
You're as drunk as he was then the past decade or more
