So does everyone else. What you're not adding to the equation is time lost in the now.

Creedence Clearwater Revival are so underrated in this country.

No debate about it. I know I'm not emotionally dying, perhaps that's the case in other peoples lives and SKA is welcome to have that opinion

You've only just begun.

What's the money going towards? Personally speaking, my favourite times have been cheap times in good company. Or solitude, though I still count that as good company.

But I am a bit cheap.

Short term, need new sofa, holidays, going out. Long term buying a place rather than renting

Pay more renting than I would in a mortgage, but don't have money for deposit

Inner city or more rural?

posted on 24/1/14

Undecided on that one. Some ways I enjoy living inner city but other ways 'burbs' would be better. Suppose it will be dependent on where my life is when I actually raise enough for the deposit

In the last 3 days, apparently crime has gone down significantly, employment has gone down significantly and take-home pay has 'risen in real terms'.

Anyone else find the timing of these 'stats' to be just as dodgy as the actual stats?

Buy a house in York and get the train in.

Sure, York may be expensive for what you get but the city is nice - I can vouch for that...

The Scottish referendum debate is working towards its peak now so the Coalition will be all out to make the UK looks as prosperous as possible.

Though my wording was pretty poor, I actually meant it being suspicious that the findings all came out within days of each other, when the cut off points for the time frame of the data are at different points in the year.

Also, the findings of the real term pay are false because inflation has risen faster than the average wage no matter which way you look about it.

Yeah understood but never one to pass up the chance to use a ...

Ahhh, been far too busy to keep an eye on politics * and was already apathetic. Is it even likely that the Scottish referendum will pass?

* in the narrowest sense of the word

No idea but I'm sure Cameron will do absolutely everything he can get away with doing to keep his friends' hands in Scottish pockets till that oil is completely drained. Once that's done, you'd need to construct a new Hadrian's wall through the Midlands to stop them fracking the whole of the north.

HaHa North sea oil really is the only issue in it

Well, oil, extra tax revenue and a place to stick those nuclear subs.

No one in power ever wants to relinquish power and therein lies the problem with politics in this country. Politicians should be servants of the people, not lords who control the masses.
