At last!
If Suarez heard him say something derogotary, then he is entilted to give something back.
Its only taken you nearly a day to answer a simple question ffs.
Now you have answered in the affirmative,no more needs to be said on this matter.
3/9Bigrespect I think you are referring to this comment, which was not by me but by Theresonlyonereds.
As for your comment above...................................Yes, which makes me think they shouldn't goto the FA. After this trial, they have proved they can't run a proper trial and can find somebody guilty because they probably did it. So this would be a big risk. The club should bring it to a real court.ect....................

Suarez had a hearing, Terry is facing trial at a Magistrates court.
Only other options open would be appeal through the various federation bodies, FA then Uefa, and then Fifa.
Cannot see Liverpool doing this, although if they did go all the way and failed then it could go to the Court of Arbitration which is a legal court for Sports federations.
geniusgreaves,
What options would be open to the club regarding an appeal and have you any idea how that would go.
geniusgreaves,
The FA,Uefa,Fifa,
are these all set up of independant panels or what.
How do they work and come to desicions?

What gets me is that Answer was one I posted earlier and pasted in which shows me how blinkered you are, now, But dont forget I said IF he heard and Suarez has stated he never heard. so there was no need to call him whatever back
3/9Big, once you accept that Luis said what he said, effectively, that it, end of. The test applied by the tribunal was an "objective" as opposed to a "subjective" test. In other words, they set themselves the question, ' What did Luis say?' as opposed to 'why did he say it that way/what was his intention when he said it?' also please bear in mind that the civil standard of proof, namely 'the balance of probabilities' as opposed to the criminal - referred to as being 'beyond reasonable doubt' (no longer used, the tribunal of fact must be 'sure' was employed here. With Luis himself saying, I suspect in an order to difuse the situation to the Uruguayan Press, that he did use the 'n' word, he put himself in a very difficult, if not impossible situation. As a fellow Red, it grieves me. LS has said he won't be using the 'n' word again - good (a tacit admission of guilt???). Even an appeal against sentence needs ot be carefUlly thought through. My opinion? Use the time allowed for appeal to pick the best time to be without him. YNWA JimmyTheRed

Great open minded post, but Im afraid it could be lost on him.
3/9..................................The FA, Uefa & Fifa are the governing bodies of football in England, Europe & the World respectively.
All home federations such as the FA adhere to Fifa guidelines re disciplinary procedures. It is normally a panel of FA Councillors who will head up the Disciplinary Panel for instance at the FA. However for something as sensitive and complex as the Suarez/Evra incident it was felt that it would be more appropriate to let an independent panel headed by a Queen's Counsellor lead proceedings.
As I have said previously, Liverpool and Suarez are entitled to appeal, firstly to the FA, if that fails Uefa & if necessary then to Fifa.
I cannot see Liverpool appealing though. The Panel's decision and rational for reaching the verdict they have reached is fairly clear, and unambigous. Certainly it is the most detailed and transparent report I can remember.
Hope that helps?
No Red, I don't think you are right. There have been too many posts supporting LS for me to suspect that fans, true fans, Red fans, through no fault of their own, due perhaps to the actual legal terminology used by a top QC, to understand the underlying thrust of the report. On a positive side, the tribunal, and Evra each accept that LS is not racist. Time to move on JimmyTheRed

see your point, and like i have said all along I dont believe he is racist.
geniusgreaves,
Thanks for that input,appreciate it.
Cant say I would agree with your stance regarding appealing, but will back LFC 100% in any stance taken,
YNWA.
So to summarise:
1. No one thinks Suarez is a racist
2. Suarez is part black himself
3. Suarez, by the letter of the law (rules) crossed a line set by the FA and they have to do something
4. If he had crossed the line set by the real law and been properly racist, they would have charged him like they did Terry. But he didn't so they didn't.
5. The punishment is excessive and should be reduced on appeal
6. Greavesy took my tongue in cheek comment about him being a racist far too seriously
It's easier summarised than that.
1. The FA had no evidence to ban Suarez for eight games.
3/9....No problem & I fully understand why you might not agree with mt stance. However I like your approach to a rival fan, but hopefully we are both football lovers!!! For the record I have no evidence that Suarez is a racist & in all honesty I very much doubt he is.
As for Redconn, if he thinks that anyone is being fooled or taken in by his 6th comment, then he is even more stupid than I realised!!
By the way Redconn..........................You need to read your comment accusing me of being a racist again, it is pure vitriol and totally unwarranted!
err...OK
have it your way. It wasn't sarcasm.
I believe you're a future head of the BNP.
And back off my black brother Suarez while you're at it.
There you go again, stepping into areas you have no understanding of and resorting to mindless insults. At least have the decency to debate things in an adult way.
I think sarcasm is way above your intellect plain.............
And where have I had a go at Suarez?? All that I have done is open up the legal aspects to the final report. You need to get out and get a life, your one brain cell is getting lonely!
Perfect response redconn...........................tells me everything I needed to know about such a narrow minded person as you!
I give up on you. You're beyond hope.
