Balotelli gives money to tramps

Didn't United pay £7m for a tramp then give him away to a Turkish club?

Well i don't agree with that decision either Gibson. I'm not a hypocrite

I'm a Manchester United fan, which automatically makes me more worthy of getting a United contract than Bebe. Lifes unfair isn't it?

I'm sure I read that a United player spent a fortune customising his Audi so it would look better than other Audis owned by other United players. Is that as morally devoid than handing out money to the homeless?

So pied piper, you think we should all let these people rot in the streets, which part of Dickens london are you from?
For me what Mario has done should be applauded. I have been on the streets of Mumbai and see thousands of kids standing 2 feet away from fast flowing traffic in the hope that someone kind will throw money from the window and i am talking 3-5 year old kids. They are the kids who will be the street living people of the future, the people Mario is helping. With the policies of the current government in 5 years we will have streets just like Mumbai, thousands begging just to survive, so go back to your sheltered life and just try to think about people less fortunate than yourself

Not sure what the connection is there. People are entitled to spend their own money on their own cars.

Fortunately We're not a club to encourage bling at the expense of performance. That's why Beckham had to go, 9 years ago now

Actually, I read it wouldn't look all that different, and that only enthusiasts would notice.

The player in question was the ironically named Cleverley.

johnsavitta, you totally miss my point. These tramps are not unfortunate, just lazy.

No-one in our country has to descend that low, there's no reason to. Even if you can't find a job, you don't have to be a tramp. So if you're a tramp, its your fault.

There's nothing generous about balotellis actions, its peanuts for someone on a six-figure salary.

So you don't see it as an act of kindness? What about the bullying incident? He is a man who had a poor upbringing and feels in a position to give something back. You can not tell me this is not a good man however flawed in other ways.

... In addition, people who give spare change to the homeless whilst on a night out in town are also a disgrace. They too should adopt the 'Balotelli system of sourcing those on the breadline' and instead send their change in the form of a cheque inside a stamped envelope addressed to the specific family.

-----------------------------

No. Not when he's got infinite wealth.

It's an act of giving to someone who doesn't deserve it.

Giving pennies to tramps is trivial. Giving a grand to them, when good working people are struggling finincially, sends out the wrong message.

There's a minimum wage in this country, if working people are struggling then it's thir own fault for living beyond their means.

Are you having us on? Am I being punked?

Or do you genuinely believe that for 100% of homeless people, living on the street is a lifestyle choice?

How can you even criticise Balotelli for this, when you've got 99% of other footballers that are completely self absorbed or 99% of television game shows that give out money to people with excentric personalities when other 'good working people are struggling financially'.

Think you should be addressing this article to Noel Edmunds not Mario Balotelli.

I'll redo that

Many of the homelessness in London are ex service people who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. They have psychological problems and can not cope with life and the world as it is. I got this from people who came to my school to speak to the students and explain to them why people are on the streets. I would not give to the big issue sellers who i see near my home who are from Bulgaria and Romania, because there is no reason why they should not go home and be a burden on their own governments, not ours, but i am happy to help an englishman or woman who is going through a bad time in their life

Working people have expenses that are difficult to meet i.e. taxes.

Tramps have no such problems. They can just beg, borrow and steal everything.

johnsavitta, i don't see why nationality has anything to do with it. All people like that are a burden on our society.

Think you should be addressing this article to Noel Edmunds not Mario Balotelli.

--------------------------

Good one, i'll give you that one

Sadly there's no board for Noel Edmunds on ja606, so we can't discuss that topic

Homeless people are hardly a burden on our society. The government spend an unnoticable amount of money each year on providing only the most basic levels of care and support for them.

As for them having 'no such problems', a large percentage of homeless people have mental health issues, health issues in general, alcohol or drug problems, and lets not forget living out on the street 365 days a year not knowing when you will get your next meal.

How you can say that the majority of these people do not deserve the help or kindness of more affluent individuals, and infer that most of them either deserve or enjoy living in the street is one of the most amoral things I have ever heard, and for that reason I hope you're joking. If in fact you are joking, I don't think you have much chance of ever appearing on 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Tax is calculated according to the amount you earn, even after tax the minimum wage is enough for a person to feed clothe and provide shelter for themselves.

-------------------------------

If they have real mental health issues they should be in a mental health home, not on the streets where they could be a danger to law-abiding citizens

If they're on drugs on alcohol, that's their problem. A grand no doubt will pay for a good supply

How you can say that the majority of these people do not deserve the help or kindness of more affluent individuals

-------------------------------------

I believe real people deserve help when they need it. Not these rejects.

Most of them are probably out on the street through their own doing.

Yes, sleeping in a shop doorway on a freezing January night is what most of us aspire to.

How do you think it came to that? They weren't born there were they?

Somewhere is their life they did something very bad that caused them to be in the street. I don't even know what i'd have to do to sink that low.
