"how many times have we played well" is what I meant to say

Got Better

Im with you we gave up playing football in the second half.

Maxi was nowhere to be seen tonight! Hope he's at least on the bench for the second leg.

Got better, sometimes you have to win ugly, tonight was ugly. Who cares how you win as long as you win. We're not arsenal. We don't need to walk it into the net and pass it round like Brazil of the 70's. Let it go man. I'm happy.

Shearer is very sympathetic towards Andy.

Shearer knows how good Andy can be, but he's struggling as usual

What are you on about GB? Kuyt hasn't scored for about 3000 games! We did the job. Sure, it wasn't pretty, but look at the bigger picture. This will give us a hell of a lot of confidence and belief for the rest of the season. First time we've held onto a result in this way and could be a turning point

At the end of the day all that matters is going through.

If we do, we got it right tonight.

If we don't, it will be because we didn't take the opportunity to put the tie further beyond them tonight.

Ok guys i hear you, but i still viewed it as a missed opportunity. I think we could have scored more.

I cant see City beating us at Anfield tho; so i agree the tactics worked but we are better than that thats all

Attack at anfield or neutral?

The main difference between the Lampard, Johnson & Kompany challenges: one had Rooney instructing the official to take action ... and he did

GB, look what happened when we attacked city, we got battered. Admittedly the result flattered theirs and our performance, so a cautious performance was maybe warranted?
