He was much better than the hapless Nani today.
Nani is world class on his day, Young can be decent on his day.
Thus is the difference
No doubt you said the same old shíte about Nani when he was out of favour and Valencia when he was out of favour. If you were a "fan" in 03/04 no doubt you were saying the same about Ronaldo too.
No patience, very little ability to read the game.
Welbeck------Rooney-------Nani
Cleverley-----Scholes-------Carrick
Evra-------Evans--------Rio--------Rafael
Stretty i like it, no Young !!!!
This Young bashing is embarrassing, no matter how he plays he's constantly attacked.
Oh and Park it's laughable that you say that about Ronaldo, Stevie Wonder could see that Ronaldo would be world class from his first kick.
Young is 27 he won't improve, he isn't good enough for Man Utd.
Nani is rubbish off his day. And that has been more often than not lately. Bottom line is, young is being crucified and Nani is being hailed. I don't think their respective performances have warranted that response this season, personally!
Nani was guff tonight but he has proved he is good enough, Young hasn't !!!! Simple as that.
But as I said above its time for HIM to prove he is good enough and to prove people that don't rate him wrong.
Only he can do this, doesn't matter what you or anyone says, there are a LOT of people that think he's poor.
Young did more than Nani did today, just sayin'.
Young really isn't that bad, he played better than nani today
I dont think Young is a great player but I think its a bit sad to celebrate when you see a team sheet that doesnt have Youngs name on it.
Fair enough. But proving you're good enough and not bothering to do the things that proved that in the first place is pretty poor. And, make no mistake, Nani was very very poor tonight and it's a bit of a recurring theme. Disappointing.
@ captain positvity, wouldn't worry about the spurs game mate......you could put out your under 17s and you will still beat us
I liked the look of the side Stretty mentioned above, nothing wrong with that.
I don't think Young is good enough for UTD, but I'd LOVE for him to prove me wrong but putting in some great performances.
But I doubt this will happen !
There is a reason the Villa fans were delighted when he left. And now I see it.
Young's average. That's as much praise as I can give him.
Has no consistancy in his career, never has. Probably never will.
A good game, then a game where he is invisible.
I think today was ok, his goal was fortunate because the keeping was horrific and he had about an acre of space. Wouldnt get that against a good side.
He was never worth the fee though.
Stretty, decent honest views mate.
There is no harm in saying what you think, we don't all have to go round blindly rating everything single UTD player as top class.
CP is our resident plastic fan.
Young will never prove some of you wrong because you're so convinced he's rubbish that you'll claim he was poor regardless of how well he actually played.
Well I thought he was 1 of our best players in the euro qualifying campaign so either that means he's good or England are pants
How is that plastic ?? I think it's far more plastic to think every UTD player is brilliant when clearly they are not.
Now with Young he has A LOT to prove and I've said now is the time to do it.
What is "plastic" about this ??? Get over yourself.
I dont think Young is a great player but I think its a bit sad to celebrate when you see a team sheet that doesnt have Youngs name on it.

It's incredibly sad to celebrate when a certain player isn't on the teamsheet.
Young has only just joined the club in the summer. He made a good start to his United career and went off the bowl coincidentally when the whole teams form dropped after the Bolton game. He then got injured and is only just returning.
He hasn't had enough time to prove himself and with every player that signs for us, I'm prepared to give him more than a few games to prove himself. I normally like to give players at least a season to do just that.
England are pants, and that group was easy as you like.
Which teams are you suggesting were good in that group btw?
I actually think we'd be better with Young on the right wing and Nani on left if both have to play. Young can then go on the outside to the by line more. Nani has proved that his left foot is for more than just standing on too.
However I much rather see us play with an extra man in midfield as we are just too exposed at times. Norwich and Spurs away are both VERY tough games. 4-4-2 might be a mistake I fear.
Like I keep saying, yes he does have to prove himself and now is the time.
But I don't think he will

Now we have to put up with Young
