Boots, suggesting they didn't target Jack Hunt is just pure denial, we see it at most away matches, teams attack down Jacks side because they know that's where they'll have more joy. Keep going at him and he'll foul you or make a mistake...

We are grasping at straws if we're trying to blame Jack for yesterday, he didn't cost us any goals.

The reason our full backs struggled yesterday is obvious. It was the stupid bloody formation. In a 4-4-2 they get protection from the wingers (not alot when it's Roberts but some).

You can't just switch to a 4-3-3 because you feel like it without assigning someone to double up with your old and slow, young and naive full backs.

I'm not blaming Hunt for the defeat at all, just proving a point against someone who never sees how Hunt performs away from home.

We didn't play 433 btw, we played 4231, you could see it every time from the South Stand in the first half hour because we kept our shape very well.

What you and 38 see at away matches leaves your reports shall we say 'Wanting' .. Once 38 said he'd seen a sending off and only later when I put him to the sword on the subject did he admit he'd either left the match early OR Gone for a smoke .. .. ..

I never leave matches early... I see things week in week out, it puts me at an advantage to those who don't when judging players...

the reports in the car on local radio didnt mention a sending off.. neither did the bbc web site which was supposedly reporting the game minute by minute..
I spoke to gary roberts the week after and he said he didnt know pilkington had been sent off till they came out of the showers and he was moaning about it..

Oh yer (for those talking tactics) Jack Hunt is a sound full back most of the time, and offers a very good attacking twist...He has made a couple of mistakes recently, but non that have lead to goal from what I can remember...
Every goal we concede comes from a lack of central midfield steel, even the corners they scored from, were only corners because fatty Kay was stood around watching them run threw....
