Di Maria & Falcao

Both outstanding talents as we have known for some time but what has impressed me most about them from watching them regularly is their attitude to the game, their passion and their hunger.

Di Maria's work rate and drive is top notch and Falcaos work rate is also good and he really busts a gut to get into goal scoring positions. And look at the passion they both show in celebrating their goals. You could see how much it meant to Falcao to get his 1st goal and LVG stated after the match he was putting himself under a lot of pressure to score.

Now you could say drive and passion is the least you could expect from players on big wages at the top clubs but if you compare to players like Ballotelli and Ozil you see the difference. While also both very talented they seem to stroll around for 90 mins waiting for something to happen rather than making it happen and often go missing when it's not going your own way.

We are very lucky to have Falcao and Di Maria as these are the type of players the club needs to get back to where it should be.

Not very often did he cut inside Hibbert yesterday, hobbert kept showing him the line and reducing his contribution to crosses. Like Sterling at Liverpool if he plays central he is more dangerous.

Took his goal well but could have hurt us more

He produced a couple of crosses where we should have done a lot better on. The mata one springs to mind where he should have hit it. He scored the one time he came inside. He has also done it in previous matches coming inside

Thank god it was Mata and not RVP who that fell to, where I was sat behind the goal was right in line with where he should have smashed it into the net.

So Suarez, also being from South America, must have been gash in Winter?

The weather in Uraguay, and indeed Holland, it not disimilar to England tbh where as the weather in spain, argentina and columbia is.

Colombia, I will give you. But I think you need to look up Argentina and see where it is in relation to Uruguay. It very much depends where in Argentina...

Rosario is pretty warm to be fair.

Falcao going to Monaco was the best decision he's ever made

he'd be on less than half the wages he's on now if he hadn't and in a couple of years has laready made more than an entire career's worth of wages.

taking a short break in a beautiful part of the world while still playing alongside brilliant players hasn't done him any harm.

For a guy turning 31 soon he's done well to get those moves.

Winter's coming.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spot on.

and it really worries me.

sometimes the over excitable get to run rampant on these boards.

Fabregas, for example, is a classic 2 good months, 3 anonymous months and a final 2 month flourish when it is all too late type of player. Di Maria, Falcao and Herrera may wellbe similar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never did I see fabregas go missing for that length of time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he only did it every season he was in England, but probably not so much in Spain where he was bench bound.

Holland actually has a lower average annual temperature than much of England, so the dutch players don't really have such an issue

Yes, that's why I said that adapting from Uraguay and Holland would not be such an issue.
