PES 2016 Demo is live

Played a couple of matches and really enjoyed them. The hesitations and stutters the games been plagued with have been nearly eradicated. Game flows really well and you can feel the difference in the speeds of defenders vs attackers which I love. While the graphics look pretty much the same (except for improved closeups and no more choppy intro) i feel maybe this is a case of downgraded for demo. Will definitely be buying PES....again.

Hope they dont screw it up with patches like they tend to. Might avoid any updates.

The shooting and keepers are linked together and, along with set pieces, are the only things I haven't really enjoyed so far. They're not particularly prone to howlers, but 1-on-1 they just aren't imposing enough, which is very noticable with Neuer who seems completely average. Shooting is alright but needs far more error, along with the keepers not being great a lot of saved shots fall straight back into danger. Hopefully they'll improve them for the full game.

There is a lot of delay sometimes as far as shots and passing. Gets annoying but its far less prevalent this year.

The difference in ball physics is noticeable in PES compared with FIFA. The ball flies off the boot and people. Doesnt just die like it does 90% of the time like on fifa when you have a power shot on FIFA.

The game is very fast. Id like it toned down just slightly.

I havent noticed anything wrong with the keepers tbh. But only a few games in.

Dark what shooting mode do you use? To get the most out the game and having feeling as realistic as possible i enjoy turning all the passing and shoot aids off

The only thing i dont change is through ball, which i will be honest o have no idea how the advanced function works, ball only travels a few feet i find......

RTM i find the passing speed and shooting fine, its all based on player position so if the ball is under your feet it will take a while and sometimes allow the opposition to steal, so none of this instant passing - however this can be done by starting the pass as the ball is coming to the player which i find very good and realistic.

Haven't tried manual settings yet. I remember advanced through ball on last year's demo was weird so I'll probably leave that.

My settings are exactly like Simon's and i also have no idea how advanced through ball works

But manual of auto-sliding off is the way to go.

I think you will enjoy it much more, shooting becomes much more of a challenge on manual - make sure to use manual shooting and not advanced which again is a weird setting, shooting felt weird on advanced....

Yeah I think all advanced did last time round was weird, made it impossible to shoot first time. Manual just feels like there's too much emphasis on me and not enough on the player I'm using.
