Slighty strange comment!
In what way does it need to catch up? It was pretty widely acknowledged that gameplay wise, PES was better last year.
Graphics I suppose... licences etc. PES will never do as well as FIFA but that's never what the franchise has been about.
If PES 16 is an improvement on 15 then it will be a n absolute stonker, and it will be FIFA that will need to catch up
PES needs its own version of clubs.
Until then I will not buy it.
I didn't play last years PES, or FIFA, so might be a little out of touch. Refused to pay for the last Fifa, because I don't think they've done enough to improve the game to warrant selling another copy for £45. Same reason I wont touch any of the latest Call of Duty's etc.
Graphics aren't important to me, really. Much bigger fan of gameplay & (where applicable) the story. Obviously, it becomes a little more important if it's a huge blockbuster title, where you expect every aspect to be top quality, then crap graphics are a let down.

While I totally respect this opinion, I'm the opposite.
If a game (PES) has great gameplay, but Manchester United are called 'Manchester Red', I genuinely couldn't care less and will play / enjoy the game.
If a game (FIFA) has ok gameplay but nothing great, and Manchester United are called Manchester United, the accuracy of the name won't do anything to increase my enjoyment.
Obviously there will be people who prefer FIFA's gameplay, which is fair enough!
Plus theres always a downloadable option file with all clubs kits etc on it so makes no difference really.
Which they had from last year greg...... Myclub
But why do you want a game focused on buying stuff, surely master league is the far better option?
Any ways I can confirm the intro screen is very nice and has loads of languages.....3 hours to download so didn't play before sleep
I don't play FIFA for career mode or anything.
I play it for clubs and the occasional online head to head match and when a mate is round we do head to heads.
PES clubs mode isn't anything like FIFA's is it?
Seems I'm the opposite buddy I'm single/couch play so never got into myclub but its pitched as the PES version of clubs
Related question... don't know if anyone knows, but how many gig will a download of a demo use in terms of broadband allowance?
I'm currently on a 10g per month download limit (yes I know, it will change soon!), how much of the 10g will a download of PES size take up?!
I saw it as 3.3gbs when I grabbed it yesterday
Myclub = Fifa ultimate team
Pro Clubs = something entirely different
I'll download the demo on PS3 and give it a go. Both games look worth a try this year, which I can't say about the past few attempts as PES 2014 was clearly unfinished and FIFA regressed. PES looks to have improved once again and FIFA, whilst not at the stage it should be, looks okay (most of the gameplay improvements look solid if unspectacular, presentation is great as ever. Still worried about a few gameplay elements and glitches). Seen far more of PES though.
To the above comments: MyClub is PES's Ultimate Team rather than Pro Clubs.
Didn't see your comment 1man lol
Agreed Andrei - the stuff EA promised at E3 sounds good so i am hoping it comes off as after last gen pretty poor attempt at football games (Only FIFA 12 was any good imo). A good FIFA and PES is best for football fans
First game was enjoyable. Kept it on a low difficulty to get started as Brazil vs. France. Tardelli scored a hat-trick, defence wasn't particularly impressive but I'll probably move up a level or two. Physicality definitely noticeable as Neymar and Valbuena starred for their teams with two assists and a goal respectively, but lost out to players like Sissoko and Gustavo. The team selection menu is really smooth and clear.
Still don't like the corners. Definitely don't like the celebrations as the cutscenes were (and still are) fine, but now you can see the joins. Either go full FIFA celebrations or keep the cutscenes.
The fifa celebrations are hilarious.
Also editing your players face to make him look fked up is great fun too.
Upped the difficulty to top player, lost 2-1 as Bayern to Roma. They were solid defensively and dominated possession. I scored a lovely goal with Götze, turning on the edge of the box and firing in. Player likenesses, both physical and style of play, seem really impressive. Keepers haven't done anything of note yet though, and Neuer got chipped by Totti
Yeh Neuer is somewhat of a laughing stock in my household after i done him from the halfway line! But that is sort of good i hope as top level keepers in 15 were maybe too good all the time
Greg download the new Pes demo
Erm......erm......erm
It feels right, it plays right but it doesnt quite look right. Some weird things going on with those animations. But its a real 50/50, some things look amazing, player movements/models etc. but the way the player interacts with the ball doesnt quite look right. Only other thing is the gk ai seems to have taken a wack. On the plus side off the ball player interaction seems pretty cool and the ball physics seem really nice and deflections look like deflections, and player momentum and stuff looks like it counts for stuff now.
Oh who was asking as rain is back, and in this demo you can change the stadium settings
Ok just a few games in but it feels like i have sooo much control, its really good.
On a side note its wonderful to see how the weather affects the playing conditions, playing in the rain, and i get a break, robben is in loads of space down my right if i can find the perfect through ball he will be one on one! I pass the ball its perfect, if only robben was there, unfortunately for me robben had to change direction pretty quickly and slipped over in the rain! Wonderful stuff.
