After last night's game it is clear we badly need a few players of good quality (like we already knew). Guys like Bitton and Barkas are not good enough to be back ups (like we already knew).
However, to see us go out with tactics, a way of playing, working as a team. It is amazing what working on player fitness and tactics can actually do to a team. I still think we are up against it this year trying to bed in a whole new team but it may actually be enjoyable to watch.
Time will tell.
Potential is there

Think we played better than most anticipated last night. Don’t think it makes anyone more confident about the season ahead though.
There’s some glaring weaknesses in the team, and they won’t be all addressed this window.

Agreed. It will take some time to get the players we need to be a serious threat both at home and in Europe.
At least we are seeing better tactics and effort.

Better late than never. Welcome to CP, big man.
Now, in order of priority ... new keeper, new RB, new LB, Eddy replacement, possibly another CB.

OP.
Defo potential is there.
Biggest 'unknown' is the manager but I like the cut o' his jib.
Reminds me of a few of my long deid uncles who were all diamonds.
Our expectations for this year are hovering around zero.
So nowt to lose.

Nope we have no trophies to lose.
St Johnstone are the team to beat for that

Most of the guys in the pub last night were St J's, not surprisingly as I
was in Perth. They were all pretty upbeat about 21/22 but realistic at
the same time. Vast majority cheered when we scored.
