I don't get why you have such a hard on for people wearing face masks. Rather the person next to me coughs/sneezes into a mask instead of polluting the air.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but then the mask is disgusting and covered in $hit so they're going to be fiddling with it and touching their face which is the main thing you are meant not to do
they're more dangerous wearing them, plus we haven't had them for 2019 years in this country why now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure the masks main purpose is to stop you from touching your face. Pretty sure masks are used to stop you spreading germs from your mouth to others around you. Which i guess they help do.
Touching your face is another issue which is something you've got to try not to do. I can't as I'm always fiddling with my glasses.

And i don't get why you need a mask, just sneeze or cough into your coat or on your shirt like most people do and have been doing for the last god knows how many years. I can honestly say i've never sneezed or coughed on anyone

Whut? asthmatics?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yep because they restrict your natural oxygen and bare in mind an asthmatics lungs only get and take in around 50% of the oxygen a normal person gets. So if they wear the mask and restrict their oxygen to 25% - 50%, an asthmatics would be reduced to 10-25% which is extremely dangerous
Similar with the elderly and young

what sneezing into your arm coat? goes straight from your nose to your arm coat mate doesn't get a chance to go anywhere else
face mask doesn't cover your nose anyway does it?
But then you have to throw your coat away. Easier to replace your mask

No you have to get a separate smaller mask for your nostrils

The only other thing people forget is if you’re wearing the face mask (which as we know doesn’t reduce risk of you getting it) and thus restricting your natural oxygen everyday and lowering the amount you’re getting, if you do get it then Your lungs are going to be weak and if anything the lack of oxygen you’ve built up and weakened is going to reduce to fighting it off
Or am I wrong?

No, your lungs will continue to get weaker every day. I've been using a mask most days of the week for over 3 months now and require an oxygen tank. It's tough.
We'll see how I feel once we are playing again but at the moment I'm actually not too excited for it

It is understandable why people want to wear them, but the societal hypochondria which seems to be developing is a concern. I don't think it's right fining people for not wearing a mask - they should be allowed to live by their own measure of risk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about the measure of risk to other people though? It's not just about risk to themselves.
