I think there's a good chance Kepa will go on loan. It is ultimately in the club's interest to loan him even if it means we are paying 70% of his wages at this point.

Would be best for everyone including the player. He's probably going to lose his place in the Spain squad if he's on the bench all season here or not even making the bench. Tbh I've got no idea how a player who's been as poor as he's been over he past year gets in the Spain squad. Maybe Spain like conceding lots of goals these days, who knows.

Not impressed by Rice, think he's average and when I watched him for England in the most recent game he was poor.

But I reckon we'll sign him, he'll probably demand a move to us.

Yeah unfortunately he regressed badly in a second season where we should have seen considerable progress and improvement from him. He isn't suited to the PL and he needs to go back to La Liga and try to save his career before anymore damage is done here to both his rep and his confidence as a player. At the moment it's shot.

There’s a huge amount of revisionist history from the fan base, seemingly forgetting that most people didn’t mind him under Sarri, league cup final aside. I don’t know why he wasn’t able to kick on. It’s not like he’s too old.

I do understand why we're trying to sign Rice. I think that Lamps sees the spine of our team as a bit meek, especially in tough games or where we're up against in games or when we've gone behind etc. Rice brings a bit of steel that if we're honest is missing from the side a bit.

What is it that he’s not good at to make u think he’s not suited to England btw? Doesn’t look very good at saving shots from what I’ve seen. I feel sorry for him tbh
