If Leicester hadn't completely lost the plot at Bournemouth last season we would have finished 5th.

Of course it matters how our rivals perform. Apparently we shouldn't have cared about that result at all.

When Utd won 1-0 at Sunderland in 2012, apparently they should have all been celebrating their victory at full time. Spoiler alert, they didn't, because they were concerned about the City result against QPR. Maybe when Aguero scored they should have carried on patting each other on the back, because they only care about their own results.

I think everyone is entitled to care about Chelsea as much or as little as they want. There can't be some mandatory minimum requirement.
