4/10 is too generous actually. Think it would be more of a 2/10 or 3/10. This ridiculous U25 policy must have come from them and it's been a massive failure on their part.

Unless evidence is received otherwise, that one should lie at the feet of Boehly, Egbhail & Clearlake. You'd think they'd choose the long term vision & hire sporting directors to enact it.

How they've enacted it I'd say is a mixed bag. I don't think we're a particularly cohesive team (though with so much churn that would be extremely hard to plan), nor have the fees paid or received for players been noticeably great - Marina was better at that. But they have popped up with a few very decent economical buys : someone like Jackson is a pretty good find, you wouldn't think he'd stand out really but there's an unusual degree of potential there.

Im not going to lie, I wanted poch out a few weeks ago after being quite defensive of him. I'm back to quite defensive of him again after recent performances. But still should not be forgotten the arsenal result.

I am very much Pooch out, this for me is stuff that should have been happening before Xmas, not a couple of weeks before the end of the season!

Like I know we can point to injuries......but the team that's been doing well recently has been available for the majority of the season. Changes that have arguably been forced rather than implemented and which have been working well have been changes many of have been asking pretty much since the start of the season - someone earning what 10 million a year shouldn't be taking this long.

However, with few better options than Pooch available I begrudgingly don't see a point in sacking him. BUT if someone is realistically available who is better then get rid!

Have always tried to support MP since his appointment although that support has been stretched to the limit at one point lol.

Always said I would give him the chance to show what he can do with the entire squad given to him, and make a judgement at the end of the season.

My expectations for this season were for a significant improvement on performances from last seasons horror show and some signs of positive Player development. These were my two red lines for the basis for any judgement.

Any European Qualification or Domestic Cup success an added bonus.

Have to say for me personally, based on those expectations then I can't really argue against MP getting the next season to try and build on what are beginning to look like some positive foundations.

Of course the bar rises next season with the expectations being , more consistency in performances and a challenge at least for Top 4.

Bad start and I think he may be gone before xmas.

I think he has done ok to get us to where we are taking into consideration the crazy situation was injuries and the lack of experience and basically amore or less new team.

My biggest gripe with MP has been his ability to actually get something "over the line" when the opportunity presents itself , missed opportunities if you understand what i'm trying to say.

Examples being firstly the League Cup Final - Thought he had the opportunity to make changes and effect the game when LFC were basically there for the taking in ET with the momentum from the last 10 mins or so of normal time. So disappointed in the way he set the team up for ET.

Same with the trio of games Brentford, Burnley and Sheffield Utd, first real signs that a European place of some sort was well within a possibility at that stage of the season with 3 wins against probably the 3 worst form teams at that point in the season.

Again some really poor game management imo and lack of being proactive saw us not just drop 6 points but to do so from highly advantageous positions in each of those games. Another big missed opportunity.

I think the LC was huge, would have given the whole club a boost, also think European Qualification would at least give something positive. I really hope we can win all three final games and get a spot.

Next season is huge for players and manager.

Given my own expectations would be unfair of me to agree with the statement that MP has "under performed" given the circumstances over the season.

As much as I love TT I think MP deserves the chance to at least start next season.

Maybe i'm just getting a touch too soft in my old age lol.

Looks like the owners/directors have a hard on for De Zerbi for whatever reason so anyone saying Poch out best prepare themselves for De Zerbi.

I have no allegiance to Poch or any manager for that matter tbh, I'm just interested in what's best for the club and after Poch being here for a season with clear signs of improvement this year I think it would be detrimental to the club to get rid now.

Why bother hiring him in the first place? At least give him until Christmas to see how we're faring and if we're getting close to top four again. With a couple of good summer acquisitions including a striker I have every confidence that we're getting back into the top four next season.

Yeah I would strongly agree.

Having given him a two year contract, barring any first season disaster (which hasn't been the case) then a judgement made on, or ,if need be, during that second season.

They then have the option to extend for the 3rd year if all hunky dory or not.

Surprised we seem to have convinced this Brazilian kid. Hype wise seems like he should be signing for Real or Barca.

And based on YouTube footage, no idea way he wants to join the PL first. He's skilful, looks brittle & likes cutting inside. He's gunna get kicked about for fun.

Doubt he joins us immediately, probably have like 2-3 loans before actually kicking a ball for us

And on top of that.....is TT the type of manager for this job? Chelsea seems a bit of a weird one, and I don't think Tuchel is the right man, he may well be the guy who takes over from either Pooch or the next guy in 18months - 2 years, I have seen little evidence he works now

🚨 🇧🇷 Negotiations are now underway between Chelsea and Palmeiras for Estevão:

🔷 First offer: €55m [€35m + €20m]

🔷 Second [and decisive] offer: €60m [€35m + €25m]

Clubs are now discussing the structure of the bonus payment.

I think Tuchel's ability to impose structure on a team is second only really to Pep, so I have no concerns on that level. Think our team craves that tbh.

But it's all pie in the sky talk, he's not coming back under these owners. They didn't sack him, sack his successor, potentially sack Poch and burn through a billion quid just to rehire him two years later.
