My only concern with Amorim is if he’s another AVB

He sounds like the opposite from what I've read about him.

AVB was a bit of a nerd, probably why I liked him so much lol, great analytical mind but useless with people. The recurring theme that comes up with Amorim is his calm demeanour, man management & communication skills, his tactics are secondary.

Pochettino had hit a point for me where keeping him seemed the only logical choice unless we were prepared to re-hire Tuchel. But among this dung heap he's clearly the outstanding candidate.

But unlike how the interviews will go with McKenna & Marseca, which I imagine will consist of "yes, yes, whatever you want, yes yes, pension sorted, yes yes". Amorim will have some demands.

The talks with Liverpool broke down for a reason. He might have some standards.

"3rd" I would say is being very generous.

Would suggest at least the "5th" when you consider failure to have a recruitment person in place for that absolutely critical initial transfer window and the appointment of Potter.

Always makes me laugh when I hear our owners saying they think we should be playing at CL level,

well we were ........until you guys took over.

Yeah that's true although I don't see the appointment of Potter in itself as a fck up. He walked into a total crap show with a club in total disarray. Boehly was the sporting director at that point lol. What chance did anyone stand that season ?

But yeah very good point about us being a CL club until this ownership took over and decided to tear everything up because they knew and still claim.to know best.

Poch is on Utd's four man shortlist. So obvious he's going there his summer.
