Not sure I understand this as they are all different. Brathwaite is a left footed left-sided centre back. Guehi is a right-footed but often left-sided centre back. Hato appears to be mainly a left back, who also occasionally plays centre back.

Oh yeah? Ok, maybe I missed the rationale. But they are being brought in as a replacement for Fofana who plays on the right side. It’s all a bit weird to me.

Guehi does play right occasionally (vs Ireland last September for instance) so he makes the most sense for the Fofana replacement/stand in

I don't get this way of thinking. It's why I'm surprised (and kind of impressed) how we're able to sign so many of these young players with a bit of hype behind them.

If everybody's special, then by definition nobody is special! How is it easier to be seen as a top player when you're surrounded by tons of other hype players? Surely you wanna be "the" wonderkid in a top team full of in-prime players? Like Davies was at Bayern about 5 yrs ago.

Interesting considering there's now a lot more left footed wingers who enjoy cutting inside. Would've thought you'd prefer a right footed CB meeting him?

I feel like defending in that regard is almost an afterthought among the elite now. if you are having to win the ball back from an attacker in your own half a lot your tactic failed

Why is everyone saying our opening game is against la fc when our fixtures say it's against Leon?
