Well I had FIFA and PES around the same time on PS2 and I much preferred FIFA, it's career mode was still leaps and bounds ahead of PES's imo,

I have a PS3 but have played a fair bit of XBOX at friend's houses, and membership payment aside, Xbox wins hands down. I was lead to believe, when I bought it, that PS3 had better graphics and were more reliable but nothing has proven that to be the case,

Cartoony isn't bad. It's just the colour palette is a little different to real life and the movement of the ball and players looks more cartoon-ish than realistic.

2010 wasn't the best - 2012 was a big improvement in terms of gameplay.

PS3s are more reliable

FIFA is not enjoyable. You can barely dribble past the opposition. They've taken all the fun out of the game tbh. Made it robotic by forcing you to pass excessively to create space. No football game needs to be that realistic. To be honest, I preferred it when on Pro Evo, you could dribble from one end of the pitch to the other with Ronaldo or Messi or Rooney and score a last minute goal. Thats my idea of football gaming.

PS3 console is quieter, more reliable and has a better controller shape imo.

Not a chance on PS2. Only thing FIFA's career mode had over ML in those days was licenses and some elements like sponsors, upgrading staff etc. Can't be bothered to list the many reasons why ML was better on PS2. ML was sooooooo good.

I think alot of people lost patience and got bored of having only 2/3 english licences and fake kits etc so jumped ship to fifa - totally ignoring the superior gameplay of pes. So the ratio will be heavily in favour of fifa

Out of interest PES players, does PES have 360 dribbling (or equivalent) yet?

That wasnt the reason I had to leave PES. It was because PES failed to create a decent game for the playstation 3. PES was king on the playstation 2. Unfortunately not on the ps3.

Also career mode on FIFA 05 was the bomb, best career mode I've ever played. PES one from what I remember was boring hence why I played FIFA all the time.

PES 5 was an amazing game.

Henry was so good in that game.

If people want realistic though, go out and play football in my opinion. PES was fun because you could literally play hours with it. Set up a round robin league with your mates, and score for fun.

So PES was clearly better than FIFA on PS2?
