"I'm just hoping he plays your first team, you pick up a couple of injuries & you're knackered come Sunday lunchtime, haha."
Hoping for injuries, suspension and tiredness so you can beat us. I thought this was the best Everton team since 1995?
^ it's called a joke, hence the 'haha' & this was a decent thread until you turned up, so either make a sensible contribution or go play elsewhere.
I think we will have a mostly 2nd string team for the Russian visitors, which can still be a fairly strong team, and a strong looking bench to be called on if required.
Something like
..........Jones.......
Flanno..Carra...Coates...Enrique.
.......Hendo.....Sahin
............Shelvey
Pacheco/Downing/Suso..........Assaidi.
........Morgan/Yesil
Looking forward to the derby game, should hopefully be a cracker.
And yes that Ref Everton had the other day was garbage.
I think Liverpool have more than enough to beat Everton, in terms of personnel, but the limited chances that come along in a game like this, need to be put away.
Everton have played really well so far this season, but I think the idea they are a credible challenger for top 4, is a little far fetched.
To be fair, I watched the game yesterday, and both teams seemed well matched in terms of personnel, and I believe where it counts, we have a lot more quality than they do in key areas of the pitch.
I have the feeling that even if Fellaini is 70 % fit, Moyes will play him, and I would be a lot happier if Lucas was available to play in that midfield area.
Having said that, if we can hold good possession, and play with width, we can hurt an Everton side, who, although they have done well, and deserve to be where they are in the league, for me, dont match up to Liverpool in terms of quality, but seem to have the edge in terms of continuity, and understanding between their players, within the system they have been playing.

I don't see that all tbh, aside from maybe central midfield, I don't think your first team has more quality in key areas than ours. It'll be an interesting game & as usual will be decided on small margins. Moyes currently has the edge over Rodgers in head to heads & I hope he's extended his lead by 3.30 on Sunday.
Would happily take a draw at this moment in time

i wouldn't. no disrespect to liverpool but i think if (and that's a big if) everton play to their potential then everton will get the 3 points but for some reason we always change our game against liverpool. moyes always tried to play the derbies like they were played in the 1980's and be physical when there is absolutely no need!
and i can see suarez getting a penalty on sunday (never said if he dived or not!)
I think the Everton penalty box is going to see more dives than the Great Barrier Reef.....
'if (and that's a big if) everton play to their potential then everton will get the 3 points'
And the same goes for Liverpool! If both teams play to their potentials I think we are reasonably evenly balanced so a draw would be a reasonable result!
Who want to take the first bet on the red card though? I'll go for Allen!
^ Tom Daley will be at Melwood this week helping Steve & Luis with their last minute preparations.
I have a sneaking feeling thats this will be an unusual derby, as in it could well turn into a very good game of football ( cue 3 red cards and lousy ref)

That’s good news.
Our dives will be more professional than yours, then
Andre Marriner just announced as the ref for the derby. cue posts from both Everton and Liverpool fans claiming he shafted them

i wouldn't bet against a red card! question is to which side and how many red cards!
I would rather let andre the giant ref this game

Marriner doesn't understand the game, he referees like a man who's never kicked a ball in a park game. I can never remember the man taking one of our games & not having a shocker.
He did Newcastle and.missed goslings handball. Also.did Newcastle and sent.Tim off on his last game. Did man u this season thought he did ok in that. No doubt Liverpool fans will moan because he did their game.versus City

Disrespect taken actually
If liverpool and everton both play at full potential then liverpool should win.
I see Suarez turning on the style
Tom Daley has already visited Old Trafford and assisted Ashley Young and Danny Wellbeck
Metro
You've never seen this Liverpool side play at full potential,so what makes you think it's good enough to beat Everton. I reckon we'll lose, but only because we choke when we play you.
Evertonians getting their excuses in already.
'if you win its not because you are better than us, its because we bottle it'
Its always the same when Liverpool win games, its always the oppositions fault.
^ there's not many who have to come up with excuses for losing to you lot these days mate, 3 at Anfield in 10 months to be precise.
