the 60 million figure was what we recouped
=====
and that was spent dumbass
the thought of daglish spending 30 million
"the fact is Kenny did spend 100 million in his second stint" a liverpool fan on this board!
metro-i know how you love anaologies. here is one. if you get paid on the first day of every month will you have the same amount of money in your bank account the day before you next get paid..answer is no- the reason? you have spent it!
the ironic thing is that what metro doesn't know is that he even agrees with my argument!

sorry sonny jim, you can't get out of that one as you tried to quote me by saying I said one thing one day and the next day claiming I said another - In reality, you completely fooked it up
And by the way... that's isn't irony... but that's another thread (don't want you to cling onto language as a tangent.

nice to see you ignored my anaology- but hey people tend to ignore things when they have had their own words debunked like i have done with yours! oh dear! even a fellow liverpool supporter disagrees with you! <--you <--me
nice to see you ignored my anaology

The analogy had nothing to do with your gross error of judghement
nice dodge though
Greatteams - we've moved on from that
Dalglish spent 100 million. 100 million left our accounts. I don't really see what the argument is here. Recouping has very little to do with this unless the whole argument is about net spend, which is a completely different argument.
---------
What I'd say to that Greatteams is that when you lose a player like Torres you have to spend big to try and replace the quality. The fact that we bought a dud is another debate.
I'm the first one to blast Kenny over his transfers as they were poor but if you take the wheel off a car then you can't drive - you have to purchase another wheel.
We can't help the fact that we have a Ferrari and Everton have a Robin Reliant
the wheel off a car then you can't drive - you have to purchase another wheel.

depends if you are willing to pay over the odds for a fancy wheel or just a wheel that you need!

exactly! the last 4 seasons moyes' net spend has been negative but he still chose to SPEND what came in. he like daglish could have refused to pay over the odds for a player but they didn't and therefore chose to SPEND! as i have stated. i got paid today but this time tomorrow i won't have the same amount of money in my back account because tonight i shall SPEND money.
Looks like the wheels have cone off that Ferrari.........won't work that well when its on bricks.

All joking aside now - but what is your analogy trying to prove exactly ?
I never once stated that net spend is only relevant to Kenny.
Your response about Ronaldo, Rodwell etc implied that I did - maybe you have jumped to conclusions
That's a dangerous thing to do on a football forum.
One Evertonian jumped to a conclusion about duplicate accounts on here and paid the price by falling on his own sword.
I hope you don't fall on yours too.... honest !
I'm going to chip in on the 'wheels' analogy:
It matters not how much your magnesium alloy wheels cost, if they come fitted with re-treads, you may have well gone for the steel option.
All joking aside now - but what is your analogy trying to prove exactly?
======
I am not "trying" to prove. I have proved it! i stated that kenny spent approximately in 1 year what moyes has spent 10. you stated that kenny recouped money from sales. my point about ronaldo, rodwell etc is that EVERY manager has to work with those conditions. the fact is what you choose to spend your income on and how much of it

what's the issue
Who said that this was only benefitting Kenny ?
You seem to be spewing comments and conjuring up analogies in the hope that something might happen.
Unfortunately for you, nothing is materialising other than an embarrassing day on ja606 whereby you even had to create another article... only to be shamed on that thread too.
Terrible day for you

Joely, as you well know, it's not really that important how much you spend or sell, what's important is having silverware, so despite moyes being a tight git, he's got nothing to show for it, like Wenger
Despite the poor signings, Dalglish actually had something to show for his time at our club.
Dog poo > your argument.

Little question for joely
Had Moyes been in the CL with Everton for half his tenure, do you think that he would have spent more?
The reason I ask is because bigger clubs will always spend more because they attract better players.
It really is straight forward.
By the way, given that Moyes is heralded as a genius in the transfer market, it begs the question... What criteria is he meeting to ensure that his signings are seen as a success... Can't be trophies
