The family of a British backpacker murdered in New Zealand has given hundreds of care packages to patients, nurses, doctors and carers battling coronavirus.
Grace Millane's family has donated more than 300 bags full of toiletries to hospitals and care homes across Essex.
The 22-year-old from Wickford in Essex was killed in December 2018.
Her cousin said it was nice to be doing "something so positive" in her name.
Ralph Milne (13 May 1961 – 6 September 2015) was a Scottish professional footballer whose clubs included Dundee United, Charlton Athletic, Bristol City and Manchester United. He played as both an attacking midfielder or a winger.
He began his career at Dundee United, helping the club to be crowned Premier Division champions in 1982–83, and playing in Scottish Cup and League Cup final defeats. In recognition of his contribution to the most successful period in the club's history, Milne has been inducted into the Dundee United Hall of Fame, alongside several of his former teammates. He made a total of 285 appearances for Dundee United in major competitions and is the club's all-time top scorer in Europe (UEFA Cup and European Cup) with a tally of 15 goals. Milne is often considered to be among the best Scottish footballers not to win a full senior cap.
Hampered by his heavy drinking, he hit his peak at an early age and after an unsuccessful spell at English club Charlton Athletic from January 1987, ended the 1987–88 season with Third Division club Bristol City. He returned to the First Division after being signed by Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in November 1988 for a £170,000 fee, but failed to restart his career. Barring a brief spell in Hong Kong with Sing Tao, Milne played his last first-team game as a professional at the age of 28.
Pioneering rock 'n' roll singer Little Richard has died at the age of 87, the musician's family has confirmed.
Little Richard's hits included Good Golly Miss Molly, which made the UK charts in 1958. The Beatles, Elton John and Elvis all cited him an influence.
The singer, born in Georgia as Richard Wayne Penniman, was among the first group inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
His other well-known songs include Tutti Frutti and Long Tall Sally.
The star, who sold more than 30 million records worldwide, was known for his exuberant performances, shrieks, raspy voice and flamboyant outfits. He had his biggest hits in the 1950s.
Paying tribute after news of his death emerged, Chic co-founder Nile Rodgers said it was "the loss of a true giant".
Richard's bass guitarist, Charles Glenn, told celebrity news website TMZ the singer had been ill for two months. He said Richard died at his Tennessee home, with his brother, sister and son beside him.
Little Richard was one of 12 children, and said he had started singing because he wanted to stand out from his siblings.
"I was the biggest head of all, and I still have the biggest head," he told BBC Radio 4 in 2008.
"I did what I did, because I wanted attention. When I started banging on the piano and screaming and singing, I got attention."
His music was embraced by both black and white fans at a time when parts of the US were still segregated, and concerts had a rope up the centre of the auditorium to divide people by colour.
