Watford have followed Brighton and Aston Villa in publicly opposing the use of neutral venues in the Premier League's proposed Project Restart plan.

Hornets chairman and chief executive Scott Duxbury says it would compromise fairness and sporting integrity.

It is understood Premier League clubs are not planning to vote on whether to use neutral venues at a Monday meeting.

The vote looks likely to be held later in May and 14 of the 20 clubs must vote in favour for it to be adopted.

And while three have now made their opposition to the proposal known, it is understood others have similar feelings.

Garden centres in England will be allowed to reopen next week as one of the early steps to ease coronavirus lockdown measures, a senior government source has told the BBC.

Centres can reopen from Wednesday if they comply with social distancing.

Nursery bosses must control the number of people inside their shops so customers can keep 2m from each other, while in-store cafes must stay closed.

The Welsh Government has said garden centres can open from Monday.

Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford announced only "modest" changes to the lockdown on Friday - also including that people would be allowed to exercise more than once a day.

He warned that it was "too soon" to go further.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will confirm the announcement regarding garden centres when he addresses the nation on Sunday.

The United States women's football team have filed an appeal against a decision to dismiss their bid for equal pay.

A judge last week rejected the players' claims they were underpaid compared to the US men's side.

The lawsuit was filed by 28 women's national team players last year against the US Soccer Federation (USSF) and they had been seeking $66m (£52.8m) in damages under the Equal Pay Act.

Spokeswoman Molly Levinson confirmed the appeal was submitted on Friday.

"Equal pay means paying women players the same rate for winning a game as men get paid," she said.

"The argument that women are paid enough if they make close to the same amount as men while winning more than twice as often is not equal pay."

Giving its ruling, the court said: "The women's team has been paid more on both a cumulative and an average per-game basis than the men's team over the class period."

China then beat Thailand 2–1 to earn a place in the quarter-finals, where the Chinese team was knocked out by Iran after a 3–0 defeat on 24 January; Lippi subsequently confirmed his departure as head coach.

On 24 May 2019, Marcello Lippi was re-appointed as head coach of China, replacing compatriot Fabio Cannavaro after his brief tenure. He resigned for the second time that year on 15 November, following a 2–1 defeat to Syria

Dynamo Dresden, who play in the second tier of German Football, have put their entire squad and coaching staff into two-week isolation after two players tested positive for coronavirus.

The Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are due to restart on Saturday, 16 May.

It is set to be the first European league to restart following the coronavirus shutdown.

"The fact is that we can neither train nor participate in a game in the next 14 days," said Dynamo.

On Thursday, the German Football Association (DFB) said the season would resume under strict health protocols that ban fans from the stadium and require players to have Covid-19 testing.

About 300 people, including players, staff and officials, will be in or around the stadiums during match days.

In his book Il Gioco delle Idee: Pensieri e Passioni da Bordo Campo (A Game of Ideas: Thoughts and Passions from the Sidelines), Lippi outlined his coaching philosophy. He emphasizes the importance of team spirit and unity. He likens a psychologically well integrated team to the functioning of a psychologically healthy family. On the strategic aspect of coaching, he emphasizes the importance of mutual relations between players. Players must all follow the same plan and play for each other, "not" for themselves.

Social distancing will be impossible in some places of worship if government ministers allow them to reopen, religious leaders have warned.

The Anglican Bishop of London, the Rt Rev Sarah Mullally, said churches might not return to normal services before the end of the year.

Mosques, churches and temples in the UK have been closed for almost two months.

The prime minister is due to make a statement about the lockdown restrictions later.

It is not clear if the government will change its guidance for places of worship.
