Eniola Aluko says she "acknowledges and accepts" former England team-mate Nikita Parris' apology for a controversial goal celebration in 2017.

Parris described celebrating with then-England coach Mark Sampson, who was accused of using discriminatory language to Aluko, as "thoughtless".

"Although I'm yet to speak with Nikita, I acknowledge and accept this apology. Thanks," wrote Aluko on social media.

"Black women should always strive for unity not division."

Serena Williams "would love to play" at the US Open, according to her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou.

Williams, 38, had an injury-strewn 2019 but recovered to reach the final of last year's tournament in New York.

The 2020 US Open is set to start on 31 August with strict restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"She's definitely come back to tennis to win Grand Slams, that's her goal," Mouratoglou told BBC Radio 4's Today Programme.

"For a player to be out of competition is extremely difficult.

"So the US Open will be a first opportunity to win one. There'll be a lot of restrictions and I have to speak with her to see if she will be able to accept and manage those expectations."

Hearts have started a legal challenge against their relegation after clubs failed to back league reconstruction.

The Tynecastle oufit - along with Partick Thistle and Stranraer - have had their demotions confirmed after only 16 SPFL clubs indicated they would support an expanded top flight.

Hearts say they are are "disappointed, yet sadly not surprised" by the news.

A club statement confirmed that the "necessary steps" have been taken to start legal proceedings.

"We have stated from the beginning that the unjust and unfair treatment of Hearts, Partick Thistle, Stranraer, and indeed other clubs, cannot be allowed to go unchallenged," a statement read.

"While many weeks have been wasted in trying to find a solution, we must now formally challenge this outcome. Now that all other avenues are closed, we are left with no choice but to proceed with a legal challenge."

Ikea has said it is planning to repay salaries paid by governments around the world under furlough schemes.

It is set to repay nine governments, including the US and Ireland.

However, it does not include the UK as although the furniture chain furloughed 10,000 UK workers it did not claim back their salaries from the government.

Other firms are also refunding furlough pay, with Games Workshop and the Spectator magazine both saying they will repay the UK government.

Governments across the globe have set up schemes to pay workers who could not do their jobs because of the lockdowns that were designed to control the spread of coronavirus.

In the UK, furloughed workers are being paid 80% of their pay under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Next year's Oscars ceremony has been pushed back by two months, the latest big celebrity event to have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Academy Awards were due to take place on 28 February next year but have now been put back until 25 April.

Organisers have also agreed to extend the eligibility window beyond 31 December 2020 to the end of February.

The pandemic has already halted work on a number of films that were due to be released by the end of the year.

It's not yet known if the ceremony will be virtual or in person as it is too early to say.

John Francis Walker (September 10, 1934 – June 10, 2020) was an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Mr. Wrestling II. He is best known for his appearances with Championship Wrestling from Florida and Georgia Championship Wrestling in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Jimmy Carter, the governor of Georgia and later president of the United States during Mr. Wrestling II's 1970s heyday, considered him to be his favorite wrestler, as well as his mother's favorite. Walker was invited to Carter's inauguration, but in the end declined the invitation. The United States Secret Service insisted that Walker appear unmasked for security reasons. Due to his popularity at the time under the mask, he couldn't justify the possible ramifications of his identity being exposed. Mr. Wrestling II did, however, on several occasions enjoy a private audience with Lillian Carter. He faced scrutiny from the Secret Service on these occasions as well, but they went off without incident.
