Manchester United will face David Silva's La Liga leaders Real Sociedad in the last 32 of the Europa League.

The Manchester City legend moved to Sociedad last summer and will return to the city with his Spanish side.

Arsenal face Portuguese giants Benfica and Premier League leaders Tottenham face Austrian side Wolfsberger.

Leicester will take on Slavia Prague while Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers play Belgian side Royal Antwerp with all ties being played in February.

The winners of the competition will qualify for next season's Champions League.

Home and Away actor Mick Innes has died aged 67 following a long-running long condition.

Mick, who played Ron in the iconic Australian soap, passed away at his family home in Christchurch on Saturday 12 December.

A friend of the soap actor, Roberto Nascimento, said he had been suffering from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Home and Away star Mick had been in hospital but wished to go home to die peacefully while surrounded by his family.

In 2005, the British and Irish Lions rugby union team toured New Zealand for the first time since 1993, playing seven matches against first and second division teams from the National Provincial Championship, one match against the New Zealand Maori team, and three test matches against New Zealand (the All Blacks). The Lions lost the test series 3-0, the first time in 22 years that they lost every test match on tour.

Ireland and Scotland will face each other in the pool stages of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

England - finalists in 2019 - will play Japan and Argentina, while 2019 semi-finalists Wales will face Australia and Fiji.

It is the second successive World Cup in which Ireland and Scotland have been drawn together, with only Ireland making it out of the pool last time.

Reigning champions South Africa also join the two sides in Pool B.

Wales also played Australia and Fiji in the 2019 pool stages, finishing top of the group before bowing out against the Springboks in the semi-finals.

In Pool A, hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand and Six Nations rivals Italy.

Marcelo Castelo Veiga (7 October 1964 – 14 December 2020), commonly known as Marcelo Veiga, was a Brazilian professional football manager and player.

Veiga enjoyed a seven-year spell in Série A as a player, after representing Santos, Internacional, Goiás, Bahia and Portuguesa. As a manager, his career was mainly associated with Bragantino.

Veiga died on 14 December 2020, aged 56 in Bragança Paulista, after complications due to COVID-19. He was the manager of São Bernardo.
