Balotellu - £25m
Milner - £26m
Dzeko - £27m
----------
Stephen Ireland was also included in the Milner deal.
Spurs would NEVER sell Carrick to you for £25m not to talk £24m. You guys have a funny way of under valuing your purchases just to make yourselves feel good. But in actual fact, you ruined the PL. And how is floatation earned yet a private businessman investing in his business not earned?
Can you tell me which club could afford £30m for a single player 10 years ago without outside help?
So if United used the stock exchange (outside finance) to promote their ambition, others should not be allowed?
Will Man U try sign Bale?
Anderson £20mil (€30 mil)
all clubs, including United, consistently sign a lot of flops
you just have to have enough of a core to carry them
United almost always does.

I hope not.
Just to correct your values:
Carrick £18.6m
Rooney £25.6m
Rio £30m
Veron £28m
De Gea £18m
Jones £16.5m
Smalling £12m
Barbatov £31m
RVP £24m
We have not broken any British transfer record for 5 times.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe not , but City have spent £20 million or more on 11 players in just 5 years. No other clubs have in the world in their entire histories, Real Madrid and Utd on six each I believe
Carrick cost £16m in 2006, ffs I watched it on sky sports going through. But if I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up but show a link that states this dreamt up figure of £28m!
Giggs & Scholes (U1429)
Even if Carrick and Levy came together and told the OP he went for £18.6m, the OP would think they were lying. He's just being paranoid. Using random player values to justify, well nothing really.
So it was £18.6 then.... Still not £28m then
Floating on the stock market didnt cause us to have to run on massive losses year in year out to try and win.

you would have had an article a day of laughter for the last 6 years if it was
The thing is darkP, carrick has been fundamental in united winning 4 titles, champions league and 2 league cups......I think he's earnt what united paid for him
OP, here's more links just for you

They are and have always planned to. I don't get where this idea that they don't want to make money comes from, they have always said that they want to be sustainable but see it as a long term investment. With the tv money that is coming in as well and the cash builder that the academy could become they absolutely will make money.

Not really. He's been fundamental to our success and you can ask any United fan. His medal collection is nothing to laugh at either. He's been nothing short of a success, and even if we spent £28m on him, he'd be worth every penny. This is his 7th year at the club.

Its similar to you guys quoting £26m for Milner when all he cost was £16m plus Ireland. And Ireland cost us nowt.
Ireland was valued at 8m.

I don't think that's how it works.
The deal for Milner was valued at 26m, but it included Ireland. So, Milner would have cost 18m. The same as Carrick.
citys owners could also offer shares to the public to help continue the development and progress
if you cant beat united fairly then beat them at their own game
mancini city is a bitter wum
he has to lie and inflate transfer values in order to make a point which is completely irrelevant
i would say he brings shame to city fans but then i remember you have the likes of Doris and PaulPowersLeftTesticle in your ranks

my family is littered with your kind.
And they don't say that at all.
In fact even among the messageboard warrior United fans opinion is highly split.
History is written by the victors. Fair dos. Doesn't make it fact.
He's a decent player in a side that always has a gluttony of attacking class.
Saying 'we won therefore he'd be worth 28 mil' doesn't hold up for me. I don't think he's even worth 18.6 but anyway.
