You have to be able to remember what mess Everton were in to appreciate and comment on how well Moyes has done at Everton. It seems along time ago now that last (fixed?) game vs Wimbledon

This is why we need someone who has been around and stuck somewhere for a long while not someone like Mourinho who gets bored and moves all the time.

I look forward to Jose destroying this myth wherever he moves next.

Porto to Chelsea was natural progression. Chelsea sacked him. Had they not, I believe he could possibly still be there. Inter was an anomaly, in that they wanted instant success out of an ageing squad, which he gave them. Madrid, again, was just a natural progression, and he has been in that for a while now. Infact, I think he's their longest serving manager in over a decade.

At Mourinho's age, he is hitting a period in which he will want to settle down, in my opinion. I look at his career and can see only three jobs capable of really capturing his imagination. Chelsea, if Roman leaves. United, for obvious reasons. Lastly, the Portugal national team, where I expect him to see out his managerial career.

I think 'building a dynasty' at United, a very stable club that can afford this, would interest him a lot.

Jose left behind next to no 'future planning' and somewhat unbalanced or declining sides at Chelsea and Inter.

Not sure what the situation is at Real.

He doesn't have any history of building or sustainability when you look at what he leaves behind.

It's all been for the here and now at the expense of later.

I highly doubt Mourinho will end up at United, particularly after what Charlton said about him. For me, I still think it will be Ferguson for the next three years then Guardiola coming in, I'd be willing to put money on it.

All he is interested is in himself and thats it.

He spends big to win big and then moves on.

A gypsy has no love for the ones left behind.

Makes sense with Pep refusing Chelsea and joining Bayern for 3 years as opposed to the one year contracts he had at Barca.

SAF has 3 years easily then Pep comes in.

Ta very much.

Pep doesn't like Ronaldo, therefore I don't like Pep.

Moyes's net spend is around 2 million per year, if you think he should be finishing top 6 with those spends you are deluded.

The period after SAF leaves is probably going to be one of upheavill and struggle for United. SAF is not just a manager, he is United!

To be fair, it wasn't exactly instant, it still took 100 million to bring them the success they wanted.

HNIC,

It is just a feeling I have, but I think the deal has basically already been done and Ferguson has promised Guardiola the job, just not yet, hence the Bayern job as a stop gap.

actually it's more like half a million a year, the guy is a miracle worker

I'd rather have Mourinho than Guardiola. We are yet to learn whether he can prove elsewhere like Mourinho has.

I agree mate, I think the United board already know the successor and thats Pep. His style of football and insight into the Barca academy and style of play will be too hard to turn down.

Barca dont look the same without him.

I think he deserves more credit, but we will see at Bayern because if he does well there people will cream over him.

Moyes hasn't really come close to a trophy.
**
they beat United at Wembley to get to the Cup final

Everton are the longest serving team in the league without a trophy.
