We had the wrong mentality basically until Pepe came on and we started going for it

Let’s not forget Burnley missed an absolute sitter before the Pepe madness
I wish he would go more attacking but can't you facking see why he plays so pragmatic? Burnley, Leicester, Benfica barely troubled us and we still gave them 5 goals.
We played some dece footie that first half, if you can just take the blinkers off. Second half we lost our heads after xhakas error.
We played good football on the counter
But we had no control of the game. Like I said it’s a mentality thing. We scored an early goal and should have went for the kill but we didn’t. We decide to be PrAgMaTiC and wait for the opposition to make a mistake.
And no matter what the tactics are we are guaranteed to concede at least one banter goal a game so yea I can blame Arteta for being overly defensive because we shouldn’t be trying to sit on a 1 goal lead
8 games in a row we’ve conceded a banter goal
when the bt sport panel are saying it's a blatent penalty, you how bad a decision that is from the VAR ref. Utter incompetence
It is very frustrating. The moment we failed to take those chances to get that 2nd goal, you feared what might happen. Ref and VAR also very poor. No wins in 3 against Burnley, that would have been unthinkable few years ago.
That's fine. I disagree. The second you ask these caaants to go for it we look like a championship team against prime Barca.
We shouldve won that game comfortably, regardless.
Well we went for it towards the end and they didn’t look like prime Barca to me
We seem to have a good win and follow it up with a poor result, that's been the story of the season, had one decent run end of December to end of January where won won 3-4 league games in a row and that's pretty much been it.
The win against Leicester last week should have been something that could have given us momentum especially with no game midweek but no we decide to throw this game away.

Over a full game man, why are you being such a pedanticuuuunt ffs.
We don’t have to go for it over a full game ffs
We scored after 6 minutes. Go for it. Get a 2nd, then sit back
This isn’t the first game it’s happened. Our mentality always changes after going in front. We have got away with it most times, but now we are conceding countless banter goals

Should've won that easily. Wolves all over again. People expect the manager to get good football out of this bunch of cuuuuunts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We should have been 3 nil up before Xhaka's mistake. But Mikel Allardyce wanted to sit back vs Burnley π€
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This doesn't make sense. The fact we should've been 3-0 up shows we were playing the right way?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It does make sense. We played counter attacking football against a hoof and rush team. Why? Spurs totally blitzed Burnley because they destroyed them with pace. We showed glimpses of that with our chances, but our attacking philosophy was essentially to sit back and invite pressure.
The goal was bad luck but was a result of allowing a poor team to get at you. Eventually sheite happens, and it but.
All the Spurs caaants on the live thread doing my head in as well, they can never see that we do get shafted by refs and VAR then most of the big teams
The game has summed up our season
Missing countless sitters
Conceding banter goals
Dodgy refereeing and VAR hiding (when we need it)
Willian shamelessly shoehorned in to do nothing
Second part of the second half we had Pepe, Auba and saka running at them with Laca supporting attack and we had plenty of chances. That's essentially what Spurs did in the first half hour.
Once again, Arteta not showing he's up to the big job.
Can’t believe I paused Avengers end game to watch this shiiiit

Because spurs have better defenders than us. It really is that simple.
I wouldve started Pepe on the LW today ahead of Willian.
