Thought we still had a few weeks to go. Haven't even been looking at the practice reports. Think I caught something about Hamilton being quick and that's about it.

Hamilton set a blistering pace in testing but Rosberg and Alonso beat it the next day. In terms of pace over a single lap, the merc has potential. Race pace is a separate issue.

The Ferrari looks the business though. Can't wait

McClarens off the pace again then

Not entirely, the problem with the McLaren's are the drivers they've got

Maybe they're just keeping their powder dry...that'll be it...

They've got a quick car and I think Perez will be a surprise package this season.

JB is also mighty here and I expect a strong performance from him. My problem with the current driver line up is JB needs the car to be absolutely perfect for him to win and Perez can be reckless at times and is a tyre manager.

We'll see

you know me manx -- i dont take any prisoners ,

if hamilton flucks up i feel it my duty to let you know about it -

you should take a leaf out of my book manx and never show a religious allegiance to just one driver on a sport forum ,

------- that way you wont get any stick when he makes a pigs bollllock of things ---

I bash Hamilton as well martial but you go way over the top and that is why I defend him.

Take it easier on the lad, he's finally maturing

now -- come on now manx --

when have i ever been disrespectful to hamilton on here mate , i dont say anything about a driver let alone lewis if i dont believe it is true -

posted on 12/3/13

Yes martial but you are harder on him than others. It's not fair

i will be honest with you manx , hamilton tends to be the main talking point on here as he was on the old bbc 606 so his name crops up more than other drivers on here ,

i would not be doing any justice to the forum or to anybody on the forum if i didnt give a true opinion of the drivers as and when they are discussed ,

just for the record i believe button is not worthy of a place in a top team , and massa does not float my boat either , but until people create topics about those drivers i button my lip about those pair -

Fair enough. I believe we can all have conversations about F1 without the unnecessary bashing.

It would be great if we did, would make this forum better

I'd have like Ferrari to have bitten the bullet and given Perez Felipe's seat. That said Massa had a decent enough finish to last season. here's too another exciting season and hopefully a well deserved title for Alonso or Massa

posted on 13/3/13

Sadly I think we will be dissapointed this season.

I predict Vettel to at least storm to victory in at least half the races with Alonso making up the rest with a Mclaren here and there.

There should be more exciting midfield battles but this season will be a dissapointment compared to last season.

The finger was complaining about the tyres, so let's hope he struggles with them.

Newey will find a way to overcome the issues though

is the finger disliked more than Schumi? I loved Schumi but he drove for the Scuderia so.........

100% YES!!!

I think people hate Vettel because he is achieving so much at such a young age. It seems like he has been given everything on a silver platter while Alonso and Hamilton work hard for their victories.

Vettel is very talented but he needs to leave RedBull to gain respect.

Just like Lewis has done,Alonso moving from Renalt, Valentino Rossi in Moto GP and Dan Wheldon (RIP) in IndyCar.

All moved from teams they won Championships with.

People liked and respected Schumi, his antics at times were of course not to most people's liking.

People aren't fond of the finger because there are question marks over his abilities and they feel he is in a vastly superior car which is always investigated every season for illegal parts/interpretation of the rules.

If Seb's car wasn't so dominant or the way he won races was competitive, i.e. not disappearing into the distance after lap 2.

People would like him a lot more. Also the crying on the radio when things do not go his way are annoying and insulting fellow drivers is not something fans are fond of.

It's interesting though that a lot of drivers on the grid do not respect him or his achievements (not saying they are correct).
