The bottom line is the only people that really care about the club are the supporters.

Bentley not trying and not caring amazed me, he grew up supporting the club and all his mates are Tottenham fans

Bentley seems to be past caring.
Probably has a "hard done by" mentality nowadays (some of it is probably justified) .

Words can't describe my feelings in Bentley but he is every bit the plum you would expect him to be. (In my opinion)

Looks Like, could you expand on that comment a bit. Not that I disbelieve you, but Lennon always strikes me as someone who gives a damn, in terms of frustration etc.

looklike :

I tend to dismiss some of the Bentley stuff.
But correspondingly I don't see signs that he would cut his head off to get just one chance in the seniors. As always, the truth (which most are not privy to) is probably somewhere in between those two extremes.

And Sandy, if you truly believe what you said in your last comment, you are a bit of a plank.

Your not another one of these naive supporters that players actully care about the clubs they play for. Everyone to a man would jump ship at the drop of the hat if they were offered more money. Oh deary me, another supporter not living in the real world.

Stop trying to polarise what I'm saying, it's not one or the other. Just because players move doesn't mean they couldn't give a flying one.

"Ledley didnt jump"

If Ledley had not suffered the long-term injury he probably would have gone. If only for the fact Levy would have been offered serious money for him.

He was injured a lot of the time, I am sure with the right offers and a clean bill of health he would no doubt have moved on. We all know footballers follow the money, and they kiss the badge at one club, and then move from club to club kissing the respective badges.

Sorry for being so cynical, and I am sure there may be the odd loyal footballer around, but the majority of modern footballers only care about number one I am afraid to say.

Enjoy the players while they are at WHL, but the days have long gone when players like Stevie Perryman spend their entire careers at Spurs.

And fortunately his final years at the club coincided with a time when the team was as similarly successful to that of the time when he joined as an apprentice.

I believe King would never of left us, he said in an interview he could never imagine wearing another clubs shirt, he's the kind of guy to mean that as well.

Sorry Sandy but ledley did spend his career at Tottenham and could easierly now be off living the good time, but hes still at the club and working inthe local community

i agree its a lot rarerthan the past as you used to get a lot more local players at the club

I admire Ledley, and fair play he spent his entire career at Spurs, but he had a lot of injuries, which obviously put of would be buyers.

Obviously a lot of ex players are avid supporters of Spurs, ie Martin Peters, Les Ferdinand, Graham Roberts, etc. but they all played for other clubs during their careers. Nice to seem them though on a regular basis back at WHL supporting the club now though.
