I won't mourn that woman but I won't celebrate her death either as that is just tasteless.

I do think the bill for her funeral is ridiculous though.

SKA,

Hypocrisy, the country reeks of it.

===============

You took the words out my mouth.

Some posters feel its fine to write &/or post on articles like this then will shout down others (& request bans) for having views they might not like.

I think its pretty disgusting to celebebrate a death like this - and i think its a bit daft (& i'm surprised Admins are allowing it) to keep on posting articles about it.

I'm not claiming all my articles are massively on topic but surely we dont need a constant political debate on here about something as so sensitive as death!

Sort it out fellas.

i wouldnt agree with that.

maybe if the article had gone sour then yes.

instead what we have had so far is grown ups having a decent discussion about a recent event.

why is that a bad thing?

Don't believe celebrating anyone's death is acceptable but I won't begrudge people who do.

She was a nasty cow at times though

The counter argument to Margaret Thatchers family is - what about the family members of those who suffered/died under her reign ?

such as who??

Hillsborough Justice campaign, the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, Child Poverty Action Group, Stonewall, Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation and the International Center for Transitional Justice, soldiers at the Falklands, innocent womern and children - even many reported suicides

Also, you do have to laugh at the fact that the song got to number 2 in the charts. Not because she is dead and all that, but because people have so little to be concerned about that they have a campaign to make that happen.

well the soldiers of the falkands war will be carrying her coffin on wednesday metro

the unions were as much to blame for the mines shutting as she was

She was a female Winston Churchill with spikes on...she did what she claimed was reason she was elected. Just wouldn,t give in to the bleeding hearts!

I'd rather she was killed by the brighton bomb but better late than never.

people also seem to forget that during the seventies schools were on three day weeks because energy companies were refusing to supply enough energy to schools and were basically trying to dictate to the country.

rewriting history is great isnt it?

like i said metro, people in power will always at some point upset someone.

thats focusing on the negatives though, very few people have focused on the positives.

i bet a large % of those protesting who are home owners have actually bought their house through the scheme that she set up.

Celebrating death is just nasty and people who do so should be ashamed of themselves, just as Thatcher should be for her part in hiding the truth for the family of the 96 who lost their lives and worse the blaming of their fellow fans, for it.

And I wonder how many of the teenagers on the protest rally are yearning for a job working in the coal mines...

and all these students protesting might still have a free university education if it wasnt for new labour

you are right TOOR, what she did was wrong.

however celebrating someones death like some are isnt the right way to go about things.

like it was mentioned before, she has grandkids and great grand children who shouldnt be subjected to the kind of abuse that she is receiving.

if people are happy she has died, then fine thats their choice.

but dont rub it in the faces of innocent children.

I agree

Some good points being made. Lets not lose sight of that

Yes, but they're too dumb to make the association!

Do those celebrating not see the hypocrisy? Celebrating her death because of 'her part on the tragedy etc' but then celebrating her death when she's leaving behind a family. Most people celebrating won't even have a clue why they are celebrating.

posted on 15/4/13

People are free to celerbrate her death if they wish, i personally fiind it lacking in respect and class. She stll has family members living and grieving, dont they deserve some respect?.

I heard an ex miner say it perfectly the other day; he essentially said comiserations to her family on her death, but thats where his respects end. To me thats fine, he clearly didnt like her but acknowledged that she was a mother to her children.

New Labour and Tories are pretty much the same.

Both as corrupt as each other

UKIP is not the answer though
