Why don't they just make uni free, like Scotland?
***

because like with free prescription fees in Scotland they claw the money back in other areas. It just a choice on where they spend their money on what

In my opinion, if you have to ask the question, you'll never understand the answer
----------------------------------------------------
Tell me the answer and i'll try, the death of a loved one is indeed a sad time for those close to that person, but for the thatcher's to be disturbed that so many people are glad she's gone is a bit rich.

I don't think I could ever celebrate someone's death (unless they are on par with say someone like Hitler) but I don't see why people are acting like you can't say a bad word about her just because she died. At the end of the day if you hate and despise someone then you're more than likely going to be happy that they are dead.

All rubbish aside, has there ever been a PM who had divided the UK as much as Thatcher?

I bet if Abu Quatada died, there would be cheers of joy and no one would bat an eyelid.

For me, it comes down to general decency and a respect for human life.

By celebrating someone's death, you are in no moral position to be judging that person, in my opinion.

It's an anti-humane thing to do.

But as I said, you won't understand that because you think celebrating a death is acceptable.

Metro

You post as if there has never been any other deaths under any other reign.

Blaming Thatcher for Hillsborough in any shape or form is diabolical.

There are many conspiracy theories about the whole saga but linking it to Thatcher as a person is one of the sickest ive heard to date.

--------

No I don't - that's a totally unjust comment. I post because it is recent news.

Secondly, I haven't blamed her for anything. I merely said that these were some of the groups who suffered under her reign and I was fully justified in saying that given that the Hillsborough Justice campaign have often said that she'd offered no support. I think that is good grounds for 'suffering'

At the end of the day, if you're one to celebrate Thatchers death, then you may as well celebrate every leader who dies, they have all done something to hurt families

"what is so wrong with celebrating someone's death?"

In my opinion, if you have to ask the question, you'll never understand the answer.

^ opinions are opinions - but this is simply brainless.

The people dancing in the streets are probably the same group who sit up trees claiming we're killing the rain forests in Brazil, join a gay march through London thinking its a campaign against killing Rhinos for their husks and participated in the London lootings on the ground that "Everyone else was doing it...in it?".

Pathetic.

Nearly 300 people have already signed up to attend a demonstration where protesters will turn their backs on the former Prime Minister’s coffin as it is marched past on a gun carriage close to the Royal Courts of Justice on The Strand on Wednesday morning.

One online entry called for megaphones to be used to sing a song celebrating Lady Thatcher’s death to the tune of Slade’s “Merry Christmas Everybody”. One version of the suggested words stated: “We all sing together in one breath/ Happy riddance Maggie Thatcher/ We all celebrate today/ ‘Cause you finally met up with your death.”

--------------------

these are a couple of things that are being planned.

this should be a day where her family should be able to say a final goodbye without having to worry about things like this.

No - people are using them as a barometer. Nothing wrong with that as those names have crept up loads in light of these 'celebrations'

Who are you to sit in judgement on me? you don't even know me.
I consider myslef to be decent and honest, iv'e worked hard all my life, never asked for anything from anyone, but have seen first hand people who have suffered greatly because of that woman, now all of a sudden, people should let bygones be bygones because she died, not a chance.
