then their barameters are fooked.
-----

On The Big Questions - they mentionmed these names as some felt it acceptable to celebrate their deaths given their tyrant rules

I can't think of too many deaths in recent times that have been celebrated on our shores

Nobody is accusing Thatcher of being like Hitler or Stalin but it's wrong to suggest that some people put her up alongside them as a figure of hate

I told you that you wouldn't understand my answer, so don't start whining now.

I am not judging you.

You don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating death, and you're entitled to your opinion.

And I am perfectly entitled to my opinion of what that makes you as a person.

I consider myslef to be decent and honest,
========================================

wishing that somebody had been blown up by the brighton bomb is anything but decent

Your last post seemed to be whining about me 'judging you'.

I gave you what you asked for. By definition, if you think it's okay to celebrate death then you are not going to understand my points.

Great comment VC, you come across as a bit of a sheep.

How so?

People have a right to do whatever they damn well want - but every action has a reaction.

What i object to - in fact, what i find repugnant - is for 10m pounds of tax payers money to be used to arrange her funeral. For a woman who loved and cherished privatisation, and her acolytes ( the Tories) who go orgasmic about privatisation, why don't they dip into their bloated pockets and sponsor her funeral?

In this economic times, squandering such an outrageous sum on a funeral is just barmy.

Oh you denied whining in a pedantic post.

Didn't see that coming.

How many more times? I was'nt whining, just responding to your pontificating, again, the only people whining are the people moralising about how others deal with thatchers death.

Let's just leave it at that eh?

We are entitled to our opinions, and there for are entitled to form opinions of other humans.

cel·e·bra·tion
/ˌseləˈbrāSHən/
Noun
The action of marking one's pleasure at an important event or occasion by engaging in enjoyable, typically social activity.
A celebratory event or series of events.

IMO to 'celebrate' another human being dying, means that that person has less morals than a human being that will not.

These people celebrating are ones celebrating the death of woman because they believe she didn't have the morals to protect everyone.

As they hate her because they believe she made people suffer, these people now celebrate her suffering (death)

Hypocritical?

Exactly - that same point was made on Saturday morning and it was well received.

People losing jobs left, right and centre and a funeral of such magnitude just rubs it in - imo anyway.

I wonder what Thatcher herself would think of such a funeral.

Whether you were whining is subjective.

But quite why you decided to take that as the main point of my post is beyond me.

Also, my comment above is not 'whining', it is expressing my opinion, as is the point of a forum

VC, in one of those rare moments, I find myself agreeing with that.

i dont understand people mentioning the funeral to honest, its not like she asked for 10 million to be spent on her funeral before she died, and im pretty sure that if her family were asked they would rather it wasnt such a huge event.

while it is a hell of a lot of money, a massive amount of security will be present because of these people who are celebrating her death and are planning protests with at least 4000 police officers required.

now lets say they are on 100 quid a day minimum, thats nearly half a million spent that wouldnt be required straight away.

i suppose its another reason for people to hate her though.

Metro

While I do not agree with everything she ever did, she did far more good for the country as a whole than she did bad. There were always going to be victims of the type of overhaul needed to get the country back on it's feet.

Cameron faces the same decisions now. Only he doesn't have the balls Mrs T had.

Only anyone who was old enough to remember the winter of discontent, and the way the Trade Unions had brought the country to it's knees will truely understand this.

Those youngsters celebrating her death are clueless, and quite likely the cause of the same problems we face today.

I'd say being part of the cover up, in which 96 people died, would far outweigh anything good she ever did.

I keep seeing people say she was part of the cover up. How could she possibly have known? If she was given false information by the police, what is she supposed to do?

Who do you usually turn to when you want something investigated, the police. If those are the ones feeding false information, then she really has absolutely no reason to doubt them. Does she? Or am I just misinformed?
