Oh dear, it would appear that England are preparing to play an unfit and woefully out of form Prior

Have you guys ever wondered why KP is liked all over the world? Not by the people but the cricketers themselves. He gets so much respect from all teams.

One thing I have noticed about England players is their isolated people and dont interact much with other players. Maybe because they dont play ipl/ whatever.

Anyway the point of the message is that KP is the guy the aussies will be scared of most. You can have your cooks, bells and trotts scoring 100s and so on, but if this guy gets going you are guaranteed to win that match.

I think KP is already an England Great. The next few years might help him go one notch up, by being the greatest player England has ever produced.

Yes - if I stay away from football for a while

Better stay off our board for a while because of an hormonal imbalance caused by perennial disappointment and a club that both patronizes and lies to the fans.

Either that or we really are shìte.

I haven't been on our board for ages...well yesterday but you know.

It's a cup we ain't gonna win but jesus christ give it a go...same for the league cup
We really should have won the JPT as well

The JPT was an ideal opportunity to unite two or even three generations of fans (like we did under Turner) - yet we went out with a passionless whimper.

Back in my day, the FA Cup was just as important (possibly more so) than the league. I don't mind us - given how money is more important these days - fielding a weakened side. Just don't lie to us like Kenny did when proclaiming:

"We want to do as well and go as far as possible"

Anyway, off for a sleep in readiness for tonight's sporting fest

Changed my mind numerous times and will likely change it again numerous times - too close to call.

I cannot see any draws but for rain washing out entire days play, simply because neither batting line-up has been consistently solid over the last year or more.

Could be 4-1 Australia, 4-1 England, 3-2 Australia 3-2 England.

Biggest influences on which way this goes will be Cook and Clarke - we know that Clarke is ten times the captain that Cook is, that England have the much better batting and bowling line-up on paper, that if Cook gets going and gives us a platform then his lack of captaining nous will not matter.

They will target Cook and look to get into our middle order early doors. Can't say that I trust Carberry to hang around in the slightest and would not be surprised to see England 36-3 on more than 5 occasions.

Not unlike the series earlier this year.

agree UH and clarke out captains cook and day long....

i'd say if clarke was out capt...we'd be world no.1 still....

possibly even with KP at the helm......

If we can achieve a win or dominant draw at the Gabba,i think we will win the series pretty comfortably but a defeat will be disastrous as I think it will really kick the Aussies on to probably recapturing the ashes
Carberry Cook and Trott really need to score heavily at the top in the series to give us a real foundation for Anderson and co to be able to attack rather than bowl with defending always at the back of the mind like it was for most of the summer
I'll back us to win 2-0

England's records for the 1st test match on an away tour doesn't make good reading. I think in the last 6/7 years, just one victory, 4 draws and 8 loses. That victory was against Bengalis. So fair to say they are slow starters..... With tht in mind, I'm certain most English fans would take a draw first up.

Cook has a more rounded temperament than Clarke and a much better team to captain - both in terms of aptitude and attitude.

If Clarke captained England and Cook captained Australia, then I would go for a 5-0 England win all day long without hesitation.

Adot - You need to UPDATE the title

Cpt Cook, the bloke that won a series in India and beat the Aussies 3-0.

Yeah he`s rubbish...

Idiots..

posted on 20/11/13

2-2 btw.

Clarke has a team where he feels the need to take risks and is prepared to lose to win games
Cook has no need to gamble
