Rooney and the lads with their WAGs went out for dinner last night in Deansgate, organised by Moyes. Wazza was very happy apparently.

Throughout his time at Utd though, we never dealt with the crap Rooney is making us deal with though.
-----------------
That's because you're a whiny little girl who believe everything you hear in the press

Rooney hasn;t made me deal with anything at all. Moyes said from day 1 his attitude was fine and he would never be sold

Sir Alex said it too

Just because the press say he's forcing a move to Chelsea it doesn't make it true

Moyes even said the press is getting i so so wrong and now Wazza has confided in PS that he has never ever asked to join any other club, including Chelsea.

keep making chit up though if it makes you feel better

You should get a job at The Sun.

Not gonna respond to the rest of your garbage

A truly nice story Macca and a somewhat inaccurate picture of events.

Really, was at the parade my good man, how I got there if you think about it wasn't much of a challenge. I even gave you a clue as to how I managed it but it appears you didn't understand it.

Not sure what the parade has to do with the current discussion.

I try to get home to see my folks a lot these days, I can give you their address if you like.

Where have I quoted the press now my good man. Like I told you yesterday when you were falling over yourself making excuses for him, the only person I have quoted is Fergie.

No one else, where you've got this press thing from makes me laugh. It certainly isn't from me.

The rest of what I posted is accurate unlike the bs story you cooked up about berbatov

Schmeichs seems pretty adamant that Wazza has told him that he doesn't want to leave and never did

----------------------------

That isn't what his quotes say. All Schmeichel says are:

1) Rooney says he never ASKED to leave. (Not that he never wanted to leave.)
2) Rooney HASN'T SAID he wants to play for Chelsea or Arsenal. (Not that he has said he doesn't want to.)

Surely after two months of the club saying we want to keep Rooney and 'sources close to the player' asserting he really wants to go to Chelsea, you have to be open to the idea that, just perhaps, Rooney's total failure to make any statement that he wants to stay (even to his colleagues and manager, who have continually answered questions about the subject and have never been able to say more than they 'hope he decides to stay' or 'he isn't for sale' indicates he might want to leave?

Come on, Macca. Schmeichel's statement that Rooney says he never made a formal request is nothing new. Clutching to it as some kind of indication that the whole story was an illusion is just seeing what you want to see.

VC, my problem with Wayne is that he can end all this speculation. Look at what Fabregas did.

Is that too much to ask? I have no problems with him wanting to leave, I'm about changing jobs myself. I do have the courage to speak my mind. He had courage in 2010 but seems to have lost it now.

One sentence from him and all this ends, whether he wants to stay or not.

I for one do not believe this is an ideal way to start a season with a new manager and it is a problem we shouldn't have to deal with

AU, that's true.

Melton, I pretty much agree with all of that. Although I'd say that Welbeck and Nani are actually good at tracking back and pressing, particularly Welbeck, and Kagawa pressed well at Dortmund.

The difference is that they all need to be on the same wavelength and if Nani and Welbeck are pressing high up the pitch but the rest of the team aren't then it becomes a bit of a mess. Plus a lot of the time under Fergie we didn't always press, or when we did, we didn't maintain it and would eventually sit off.

I said the other day that I think one of the problems in our side and the cohesiveness of it is that we have too many different types of styles in terms of both attacking and defending. We have players that press and players that sit off. We have players that play short intricate passing and we have players that don't.

Add the needless rotation and it's no wonder we are quite a way off of the top sides as they don't share the MASSIVE flaws.

The problem with this is that it's all down to Fergie. And while also making us a winning machine, he's also held us back from being able to play a better brand of football to be able to compete with the best.

But what many will say is that it's the midfields fault. And by midfield they don't include Rooney and Carrick as part of the equation (which is ludicrous) and lay the blame at Cleverley or Anderson.

True Melts

I only ever suggested it could be a possibility though unlike people like MUDD who just claim things as facts

Seems more and more likely to me that our understanding of the situation is the correct one

The one thing that actually convinced me he was going nowhere and he was happy to remain at the club was when he went on the pre-season tour.

Not a chance in hell Moyes would have taken an uncommited stroppy little fekker away with them to put a spanner in the works,

The other opinion I have is why Wayne or Moyes haven't made any real comments on what Sir Alex said

If they did what do you think would be the latest redtop headline

'SIMPLE MISUNDERSTANDING. ROONEY WANTS TO STAY'

or

'ROONEY CALLS FERGIE BAREFACED LIAR

I think Moyes has simply chosen to leave the past in the past and look to the future. Rooney too.

I, for one, am happy to look forward and just don't believe any garbage printed that comes from unnamed sources

Again with the misrepresentation of what I have said. Why are you doing this? Why are you so worked up about this that you are twisting what I have said? I have only regurgitated what Fergie said. What else have I put forward that is made up?

You are better than this mate, really poor form

...........................

Maybe this is part of his and Moysies plan. It could be a well devised WUM on Jose.

So far, Chelsea don't seem to be looking at other targets and are set on Rooney.

I think Chelsea are putting all their eggs in one basket, and will make a huge offer for Rooney late on deadline day, which we will of course refuse, thus leaving Chelsea with Bruno.

Of course this is just my devious mind formulating a scenario that most will find implausible.

But, Rooney has not said a word. Not one, which I find remarkably strange for Rooney, given he normally can't keep quiet, if he was pushing for a move.

I have not insinuated you are my good man. I was posting on a thread on the day giving people updates on the day of the parade.

Suggesting I'm lying about that is silly. Why would I feel the need to, it's not like I need anyone's acceptance or respect for chit. Never have, never will. That's why when people come here and talk about going to games, I smile. When I go to games, I do not talk about it. I shared the parade story with you as you were there to but this is the thanks I get. No worries.

Whether you believe me or not means nothing to me and it also has no relevance to the current debate.

So are you going to debate the matter at hand or continue to deflect?

I like the idea behind that sort of thinking and if Moyes is doing something like that, it means he's even craftier than Fergie. I especially enjoyed his wumming of everyone with the fixtures comment and the rescheduling of the press conference.

I just believe this cloud hanging around the club is not needed and should be dealt with swiftly and the main party involved can do something about it.

posted on 21/8/13

Macca, do you truly believe it is better for the club to have this uncertainty rumbling on all summer and let stories about Rooney being desperate to move to Chelsea go unchallenged when the player himself is totally committed to staying?

Even if the question of what exactly was said between Fergie and Rooney were as politically sensitive as you think, it would be easy enough to sidestep the issue by Rooney issuing a statement that he is totally committed to United and not interested in moving to Chelsea. Merely telling Moyes the same and authorising him to announce the good news to the world would be sufficient.

In fact, I really don't think it's hard to explain the original row in a way that lets everyone save face. Fergie never said Rooney had submitted a formal transfer request. PR people are very clever. They can twist the account in a way that satisfies both Rooney and Fergie. A few media tongues will wag but hardly any more than they have all summer and the bigger story will be that Rooney is staying anyway. And as I say, even if I'm wrong about this, it would be fine for him to simply say "I'm staying. No further comment."

The ever reliable Goal.com

But you'd have to think with Chelsea overstocked with players in Mata's position and understocked with players in Rooney's position this could be possible.

Whether it has any truth to it or not surely any of us United supporters on here would tell Chelsea (except for Macca Rooney above) that if they want Rooney they can give us Mata?

Everyone okay with that? Even you Always?
