In all honesty though, it is fecking ridiculous. Why, after you've been singing it for as long as anyone can remember, is it now suddenly an issue?

Why is the SOBL getting offended on behalf of the Jews? I mean, you could understand if you were calling people Jewish s or something similar, but I doubt most Jews, especially those associated with your club, see it as an insult.

I did listen to Baddiel on Talksport and he made some good points, he said he didn't want to outlaw the word just raise awareness, (the same Baddiel who did this... http://s3.thejournal.ie/media/2013/05/lee2.jpg )

But what he's done is 10x worse!

Yes, but the supporters now have the chance to decisively put this one to death. It also would give some answers on the match day demographic (how many Jewish Spurs supporters are usually at WHL singing along etc) .

I think it's personal choice. I used to sing it, probably wouldn't these days.. certainly doesn't offend me

I grew up as a Spurs supporter when the songs started.
I am fully aware of the history and rationale.
A rationale that s like Baddiel fully refuse to acknowledge (because it doesn't fit their agenda) .

I think the songs should stop, not because of offence but because I consider the original battle to be long won.

I expect Plod to be ACTUALLY making 100x arrests of /Chelsky vermin who do the nastiness as those Spurs supporters who are being threatened with arrest for their songs.
